I can attest that it's in your genes.

I apply only Vit-E oil and started it late at around 22 weeks pregnancy. My girl is over 17 months old now. I have stretch marks but they are very faint that even my sister and mum said unless someone really come close and by touching my tummy slowly to feel those lines; actually it is not that bad.

I'm using bio oil as recommended by my friend.. Not sure whether it's good or not.. But have used it on my thighs, stomach and breast area. If stomach area itchy cannot scratch right? If not will have stretch mark? I was told not to scratch.. But my stomach and breast area super ITCHY .... I'm at 15 weeks... And really cannot tahan the itchiness but still gonna tahan.. :(

I'm using Elancyl now. Previously was using Palmer's since end of 1st trimester but ended up with rashes when i was at wk 22, so switched.

Roudx, maybe you wanna buy a small tube of body moisturizer that can fit into your bag and carry it with you all the time? I do that and go to washroom to apply whenever my skin itch. It helps to relieve the itchiness.

@ Flowerii , body moisturizer help? No one told me :( I always rub my stomach to ease the itchiness.. lol. I have switched stretch mark cream from Bio Oil to Clarin's ... So far so good.. My friend applied clarin's stretch mark oil since the start of 2nd trim, she just gave birth and she told me there's no stretch mark at all! Wow, I hope to be like her too..

I think it helps to calm the itchiness.. i heard stretch mark can be caused by skin getting too dry (thats why itchy) while being stretched so instead of rubbing with nothing, better rub with moisturizer. but of cuz, if you want to prevent stretch mark, must also apply stretch mark cream diligently everyday.

Clarin's quite ex right? at first i thought i can do with palmer's. cheap and good reviews.. but end up rashes. hahaha. =.=''

Ya Clarin's is ex.. But I don't mind investing in it if it's really good.. Hopefully after give birth no stretch marks...
Body moisturizer only works for me if I'm at home.. Because I can't be going to the toilet to apply everytime I feels itchy =/
But the itch not much already. Or probably my body is getting used to the stretching , that's why don't feel that itchy anymore.. :p

Hi All,

I am using organic virgin olive oil, alternate cocoa butter & topi cream. I am at 26 weeks.

Hopefully, olive oil can prevent my streachmarks till last stage of my pregnancy. If can't help, I will consider to buy elancyl.

I'm having eczema too and its related to pregnancy coz I didn't' have it before preg but had it for both first and second preg. Second time, its better though. The eczema goes away promptly after childbirth. U can use brands suitable for sensitive skin. For me, I only use QV moisturiser. After the first preg, I didn't get much stretch mark anyway so I guess this one will be ok too.

My friend have also no stretch mark after using Clarins.
Her baby is now 2months plus, and I've seen her stomach at her baby's full month party. No stretch marks at all !

I'm glad she intro me Clarins when I just got pregnant. Now I didn't see any stretch marks yet at my bulging stomach (am 30 weeks now) Hopefully I won't have the marks after I give birth.
I have a friend, she has already had stretch marks appearing at her stomach, she's at 35weeks now.. She doesn't use clarins though..

@ meowmummy : People says u can start at the moment you know you are pregnant. Because that's when our tummy grows bigger day by day.. I started using it when I know I was pregnant. But I was using Bio Oil (also intro by a friend) However, around 3months+ into pregnancy. It doesn't have much effects. As I am very skinny , I do have existing mild stretchmarks around my butt n thigh area. My hubby apply the oil for me every night and he told me bio oil doesn't seems working because the stretchmarks is getting more visible.
So that's when I changed to Clarins , introduce to me by another friend. And it really works. It lighten my existing stretchmarks and I don't have any stretchmarks at my stomach or new stretchmarks. I'm quite happy with the product. I sounds like a Clarins promoter lol.
I would definitely recommend Clarins to people. I know a friend who don't have a single stretchmark throughout her whole pregnancy and even after she give birth, and she told me she didn't use any creams / oil at all. Wow.. Envy...

All Mummies,

@ first i use stretch marks cream its grow some rashes on my tummy so i switches to Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil. Now my stretch marks gone & i my skin not so dry as before so i believe the cream type is too rich & is not suitable for sensitive skin. If your rashes is itchy dont scratch it & bath with cool water, remember dont bath warm water this will make u more itchy & redness more. I think Clarins is expensive rite!
I only purchase Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil once the rest is a give from my sis & she is the one who recommend me to use oil instead of cream.
