Undescended testicles

we went to paediatric on last year, he diagnose my DS (tat time still 18months) having the Undescended testicles(the balls not goes down to the sac) and referer us to KK hospital surgeon to check further more, and if needed must go for operation.
tat time my DS still cannot talk and i feel sad if thinking he must go through all those operation.
thus we delay it till now (DS now 2,5years), but since then i feel like someting that i owe my DS.
Has anyone else's son had this problem and this surgery? is the operation will safe? does it minor op ?

No, we dont face this problem but as per my understanding early treatment is necessary , otherwise it may affect his future fertility

finally last month i decided to checked with surgeon doctor in kk hospital, and thanks god, doctor said everything is normal, the balls now is in place, doctor said its sometimes when he get excited, it will retract something (forgotton what exactly).

When paediatric doctor bring up this issue, my son was 18mnth, then i brought him to surgeon doctor, he was 2yrs 8mnths, so dont worry, 3weeks is too early to tell this kind of problem, you can wait till he up to 2yrs to check with surgeon doctor, and also by the time, even yourself can tell whether really no ball in the sac.

that time paediatric said, if really need then must go to operation, the soonest is the best, so he refer us to surgeon doctor, with the reason like i mentioned before, we delay to met her till last month.

yr doctor that refer you to do operation, is it surgeon doctor or paediatric? better you confirm with surgeon doctor.
i understand yr feeling, since hear that, before meet the surgeon doctor, i feel something burden inside my heart.
so meet the specialist in this area is the best to ease yr mind.

i hv too many burden inside my heart... since like always in out hospital , although my son only 3 week old .... so helpless n down ....

dear all,
My dear son also has this condition and pediatrian. advised us to let him do the surgery nxt week. can anyone advise how is the experience like, is it very painful , how about the recovery time ? thanks in advance as I am quite worried abt the procedure though do.c mention it is a small operation......and my son who is 7 years old is quite squirmish ....

Hi.. How does the checkup like?? Cos I suspect my son might have this condition too.. He's very not used of doctor examine him.. He'll start crying before the doctor can touch him..

hi,
how old is your son ? does your pediatrician mention anything to you during the first checkup for baby. usually the pediatrician will do a check first. if he is diagnose with this condition, u can further double confirm with the pediatrian cum urologist. on this.

The checkup is quite fast. The doc... will usually check his testicles to see if both has been descended. If the size of the testicles is diff, it can aso tell. however, it's best to confirm with the doc. on this. personally, i can't tell, so i consult the doc. as well.

When he was 1.5 yrs .. Polyclinic doc suspect he have this & refer us to kkh but we never went as I wanted to confirm on this so I went to another PD.. But the PD after checking saying it's just that he's 1 are on the smaller side not as wat e polyclinic doctor suspect.. Now he's coming to 3 but I discover tat his testicles r still very small & barely visible so therefore e worry came back again.. My worry is how to let doctor examine him when he dun even let him touch him..

best to divert his attention with some biscuits... sweets or loliips...when doc is checking or something he like to it. i did tht... n it works...

yes. doc need to feel if the testicle is coming down
