There are lots of contradicting information out there. I believe it is the quality of supplement you are eating. Is it organic calcium or the calcium from oyster shells that tend to block absorption of mineral to the body. You can more calcium from carrot juice than from milk and it is digestible. Ya, I think it is important to do your research and not take any word for it. Great links.Ya braxton is painful. Like menses cramp. But I don't feel pain yet. Braxton happens as early as 1st trimester only we don't feel it because its very mild. But 2nd to 3rd trimester you should feel it. But I think mine is not braxton,i think mine is wind constipated or post drinking milk kinda event.Because it happens for only one day and never again. My friend's contraction at 2nd trimester was painless. Seriously, I'm confused. Contraction should be painful right?
I dont know from week 16 baby is active. And now it's crazy active.EVERYDAY. So i cant answer but some mummies please help Faithmummy out.
I don't eat calcium pills. It's no good for the heart as mentioned here and also in my lectures.

Once yahoo singapore also bring out this news so something to take note of and after that I took my calcium via diet and not pills. Since i'm no bestfriend with milk, i take soyabean and cheese for calcium. Just my 2 cents worth.
I think noone here can answer your question because i'm afraid so far I see the mummies in this thread are going to private hospitals and few going to KK suite maybe specialist.I think for me, it's better to have one or 2 gynaes and not more. If you are having a healthy pregnancy, it's fine to keep changing yr gynae now since that's the hospital's procedure but by the 3rd trimester I suggest going to a specialist in NUH or go to private hospitals.I doubt it's expensive. At most 4K for hospital stay(depending on your room) and 1k plus for gynae's fee(only if you take package) but not inclusive of detail scanning and lab work.Mount alvernia quite cheap by a few bits compared to thomson, glens and mount E.I've been going to Nuh subsidised clinic and I'm in a dilemma. To take up the antenatal package or not. And should I swop over to a permanent gynae instead? Seems abit lost as every visit so far is with a different gynae and most of them are the chop-chop kind as well. I'm not satisfied as I have a lot of questions to ask each visit but they seem to brush me off. Anyone facing the same issue? I was recommended to take Dr Su Lin Lin but I'm not sure if there will be a very significant price increase in the delivery charges.
hehe i just drink dont care. But once in 2 weeks.A bit not so much.Oh. I drink soya bean maybe like once a week. You know what I missed most... Grass jelly... Everytime go to the stall my eyes will linger longingly at chin chow...
Yup. But I did medical so I immediately stopped. he he. I don't want to have a harden valve in my heart!! he he.There are lots of contradicting information out there. Ya as long as it's calcium. However, suggested to take hours apart. Few hours apart. 3-4hours. No choice I guess. That's why I'm having a hard time during pregnancy. Probably I can skip Ca on alternate days but being pregnant gotta eat 2 of these minerals everyday. So, prbably eat our prenatal vitamins in the morning and drink our milk in the afternoon or vice versa.Definitely they dont cancel each other out but Ca reduce the absorption.A mummy
i heard of calcium and iron conflict before too..
but do you know if Calcium will also hinder the iron absorption from Natural food such as meat?
Sorry to hear but please avoid walking too much. Sorry but that's just the only way to go although its pretty impossible. Don't carry heavy objects. My gynae say I have low placenta .. What can we do to ensure it is ok?
