I am a British born osteopath with over ten years experience in rehabilitating sports injuries, which includes more than two years as team therapist in semi-professional football and rugby. I also have a reps level 3 Diploma in personal training and Sports Therapy.
I decided to study osteopathy after seeking treatment for a neck complaint, which had become stiff and painful after a road traffic incident. After seeking treatments from other sources of primary health care services that did not alleviate my discomfort I decided to visit an osteopath. After four treatments I had almost full range of motion back in the neck and the pain had considerably reduced.
In Brighton, I worked within a Cranial Osteopathic practice, which specialised in treatment for newborn babies, infants and pre or postnatal women. With extensive skills in cranial osteopathy, I use very gentle techniques, making use of my highly trained sense of palpation to identify and correct mechanical dysfunctions. During my time at the Brighton clinic I regularly treated babies, using cranial techniques, for symptoms of colic, reflux and latching difficulties with great success.
I also regularly see pre/post natal women who complain of back pain throughout their trimesters. Regular osteopathic treatment throughout the trimesters has been shown to alleviate these symptoms by releasing muscle and myofascial strains.
