Yes, it's a must to 'drown' yourself in tons of water everyday while breastfeeding. Also stress is a no no too. Stress will decrease milk supply.
If possible do a direct latch on and don't think on the qty, as long as your baby look satisfied and is putting on weight, baby is doing well :)...
