i carry upright awhile and i use pillows to slightly elevate her body so she doesnt puke.. so far so good.
My average timing is:
1) bottle feeding: Feeding 20min (initially was 1 month old was 30min) + burp 1-2min + Hold upright 5min (total abt 30min)
2) pump out milk total abt 20min + 10min...
If u pump every 2hrs then u will be very tired, guideline is usually 3hrs.
I'm not using medela but I dismantle everything to wash n sterilize after each use. Did not clean dry before use. If using bag then will pump out then transfer.
During the first month I pump every 3hrs even in the wee hours to build up supply. Now coming to 2 months, I still pump every 3hrs during day time n last pump at 12am or 1am then next pump at 6am so as to catch more sleep.

if you would choose again will you let your bb direct feed instead of expressing out then bottle feed? I mean it's kinda like double job and with all the washing and sterilizing it's really tiring....
