PARIS : Parents should keep their children in rear-facing car seats at least until the age of four, according to a British study released Friday.
Currently it is common practice in many countries to switch babies to...
Hi,
For my car seat its not the weight that matters but whether the baby can support himself when its changed to front facing. Personally, I feel that rear facing seats are safer for any baby in an accident and my baby falls asleep comfortably too.
I've travelled with my baby on medium haul flights starting from 4 months and in his first year, we had about 3 trips already. If you will be travelling alone with a baby keep in mind:
- have a variety of snacks (biscuits, bread...) to keep him occupied
- have many bottles of milk and water...
If u want to prevent the blanket kicking, try a Grobag sleeping bag (there's plenty of other brands out there). B'cos there's lots of space for the legs to move around, babies can also crawl around in it.
this was the formula i was provided in aust - as a guide to how much milk a baby should take.
weight (per kg)* 150 ml = total milk intake for the day. If your baby drinks every 4 hours, divide the total milk intake by 6 to get the milk he shd drink per feed. so if your baby is 5kg, he...
Thanks for the feedback. My boy has been trying to sit up for months using the stomach crunch method and its hard - even I can't do it.
I'll try teaching him the different methods....
Hi,
i'm trying to teach my baby to sit up on his own. Can any mums share how their babies learnt to sit up on their own. My son can sit unsupported for a while and can even pull himself up but hasn't learnt to sit up himself yet.
Anyone got step by step actions that babies use to get them...
Hi,
I'm a mom of a premmie baby. Just wanted to share with other mums the benefits of kangaroo care for premature babies. We shared this with our little one and loved it.
Kangaroo Care allows moms and dads to hold their babies, wearing only diapers, on their bare chest up to several times...
Get out a good heavy saucepan and snip each marshmallow in half and drop the pieces in the pan.
Add the butter. Chop the chocolate into smallish pieces.
Add water from the kettle, and put the pan on the heat, stirring occasionally until everything is smooth and melted.
Remove from...

my bub was born at 32 wks @ 2.1kg - his's caught up with his age group for size but development he's still slower than the average. the nurses say that they'll catch up by 2 years so until then i use his adjusted age (based on his calculated due date)
i like to steralise my bottles by boiling (that way i know there's no more detergent). If u want to steralise in a batch i would recommend getting a box and storing unused bottles in the fridge (used by the hospital in melbourne).
Hi,
I'm a new mum and I've been using organic products on my baby since birth and I think its better than the chemical products on the shelf these days. It's safer esp since my little one has curious hands and puts everything in his mouth. There's also reported dangers of petrochemical...
Hi,
I use avent bottles for my baby mainly bcos of the brand name. But i had to change the tit to the mothercare ones cos it was too hard and he would cry when he drank the milk. In some hospitals in aust, avent bottles are not recommended before 3 months cos it confuses the babies when...
