1st time mum pls comment? ( part 1)

hi all mtbs i juz went for my 1st chk up today after i changed my gynae (2nd 1). i oso had oni 1 experience w my 1st gynae. hmmm after comparing their prices i realized e 2nd gynae that i changed to although had postive feedback abt him his charges r more expensive than my 1st gynae in terms o all costs such as maternity package , delivery charge n antenatal package etc. take for example my 1st gynae charges $45 for ultrasound scan but my 2nd gynae charges $80! hmmmm m i missing something from here( got difference meh eg 3D or 4D scanner ???) consultation wise its $80 for both. i paid abt $165 for 1st gyane ( scan$45 + general medicnine for gastric) n $260 for 2nd gynae ( scan$80 + medicine like iron tablets, calcium etc ). any comments on this ???? too many question marks n story too long therefore i break my queries into 2 parts sorry 4 being so long winded......but i reali appreciate any valuable comments or ideas you hve to share. thk you n hve a gd wkend.

hi there! are both gynaes from different hospital? it could be part of the reason for the difference in cost too... how many weeks are you in now? did they recommend you any packages? as for what i know, usually private patients will take packages as it's more worth it.

hello, is ur 2nd gynae using 3D or 4D scanner?? or it's just those normal 2D de?? cos if his scanner is 3D/4D, that might be the reason y his charges for scnning is so high.. for my gynae, she charges $40 -$60 for scanning (those normal machine). 1st time $60, sub visit is $40.. or maybe ur 2nd gynae charge $80 becos that's ur 1st visit??

hi regina i have no idea wat D both gynaes r using wor nber ask sob sob didnt noe got diff de back then........but e 1st 1 can c general view o bb oni nber c view ard but 2nd 1 can c bb head lah blah blah like more angles than 1st gynae. e reason y i changed my gynae oso cse i dun feel comfortable w my 1st gynae hmm i have written in e forum b4. hmmm 2nd gynae more comortable but px wise like more x wor hw huh ???? btw hw do we do abt asking if e scanner is 3d or 4d ???? no xperience mah ........

3D & 4D is that u can see how ur baby's feather is like.. but i didnt done b4 cos my gynae's clinic dun hav, if wan to do hav to go another department.

i think ur 1st gynae dunno how to scan la... my gynae uses those normal de scan also can see diffe angel.. LOL!

anw i think ur current gynae's package is quite reasonable.. =)
