Art Tips

Many parents have high expection of their children, even in art. The child needs to draw it right, colour it right, get the angles right. For me, if you want the picture to be that right, use a camera.

Did you know? Many famous artist did many paintings and they picked only the best ones for their audience. They are not as perfect as you think. So my point is, let your child enjoy the process of losing an ear for his tiger or legs that look crooked. The important thing is to encourage him/her on. Dont't ask him/her where's the missing ear or the legs look crooked, try this instead: "Hmm.. your tiger looks different. Oh, I think there's a missing ear. Is there a reason why you didn't draw it down?" and let him/her explain and through that process, gaining confidence.

Cheers!

I agree, the most important thing is to enjoy the process of creating art, not the result. Beauty is really in the eye of the beholder.
