Do you think society is prejudiced against working mothers?

I have a 3 year old who is currently attending childcare.

I have been looking for a job for almost 3 months. The most common questions I was asked are whether I can work OT and whether I need to fetch my girl from childcare. My reply is "either my husband or myself". I notice that when employers know you have a child and you do not have other caregivers or helpers, they will not consider you for the position.

Remember when I was just married and went for interview, the interviewer asked me whether I plan to have a child. I said I let nature takes its course. I didn't get the job. After I had my first child, interviewers would ask whether I plan to have a second one.

I always thought our government always encourage us to have children and more children. But with the rising costs and high living standard, usually both parents have to work. But why do employers seem to be prejudiced against working mothers?

This is just my personal opinion. Open to discussion.
