Fishy EBM

My thawed EBM & fresh EBM smells different too. Maybe it has been kept in the freezer with other frozen food, dat's why?
I do have mummies who share that their EBM comes in many colours: pink, brown, green, yellow, blue...............:tlaugh:

i read that after freezing, some components in the BM had changed, thus the change in smell n taste.. but its totally safe for consumption as long as its within the 3 months period..

cz i always express my milk out for my bb so i know how much he drinks..
n the breasmilk taste like drain water for me..veri not nice!!

Mine too! But my baby doesn't complain about it though, thank goodness! :001_302: My MIL was guessing that it might be bcos i eat too much fish, but fish is good for the baby!
Anyway, thawed ebm will never taste as good as fresh ebm because of lipase in the bm. See kellymom.com :: My expressed breastmilk doesn't smell fresh. What can I do?
