i will be giving birth next month... i'm an unwed single mum...

today my colleague ask me one qns but i reali dont know how to ans him... need some advice from you guys...

do unwed single mum have to give ang pow during CNY??

hmmmm actually IMO, if u want to give can just give..
like for me, i only give my cousin's kid, cos she give pin. i still rcv red packets n nvr give other kids.

I think first year no need lar... subsequent yrs.. see my wallet lor, if you got give my son, I give yours, else, I save $$$. If pple gave me, I will take too, not good to turn pple down mah... maybe they pai-seh also dunno whether to give you or not...

i actualli ask my dad. then he sae he also duno ask me to ask my aunty
i ask my smallest aunty she sae nope, bcos im not married. tats hw she feel.
then i ask my another aunty she sae yes, ive to. bcos bb is alreadi taken angbao and i cannt take also. and i mus return on behalf of bb.
and i asked, since all are from the same seniority, all cousins, bb is the smallest as the next generation, do i still haf to gif?
she told me yes, as long as dey are not married i haf to gif
and u know, my oldest cousin is 9yrs older then me and ive no cousins that's married.
total ive 21 cousin on my father side and 3 on my mother side
not forgettin ive to gif my grandma, dad, sis and bro :wong14:

seperation n divorced r still sonsidered married before.
my relatives who r divorced, they still give.
as for unwed, i think its personally up to you to give or not.
