If you are an avid reader on parentiing, I would like to recommend you to read this book titled 'Ability Development from Age Zero'. I am currently reading this book, though i have yet to finish, i am totally impressed and sold on Mr Suzuki's idea. Mr Suzuki advocated that kids are in-born with talents. It is up to the parents to provide the environment to groom their kids. In addition, how we treat them is also important in their up bringing. This book highlights the following
1. Our kids need respect from us
2. What and who we are will reflect in our kids' personality hence it is importance to constantly reflect on our own behaviour
3. Start to learn as early as age 0
4. Learning environment has to be as good as it can be
5. Good pedagogy
I am not is very good in doing good review but certainly i would list this book as one of the must read for new parents and parents.
