I think most of the baby clinic rates abt the same .
i agree.
but for vaccinations some pd do charge consultation.

currently with baby bear at woodlands.
nearer to my house. moreover this pd is good. he's accurate for the number of days where the virus will go away and if other symptons will come along.

before goin to baby bear was with ang ai tin at tmc.
she's good, veri detailed in checks. but i feel she don't quite explain unless you ask. she's a pd where she don't prescribe high dosage for medication.
mayb she prefer the baby to fight the virus with immune system.

dr heng from kidslink visit him twice in tmc. he's the visiting cardio doc. not sure if he's still at tmc but can go to his clinic at jurong.

Dr Heng from Kids Link is good. He's patient and listens to you. Seems to genuinely likes children. Also you can use your CDA account nets card when you go to Kids Link.

Hi Lisa,
Yes, Dr Heng is in Jurong clinic - Kidslink. I intend to bring my baby to see him but not sure if he is good PD or no? I used to bring my baby to see Dr Keoy in TMC - paediaetic centre. I intend to change as Jurong clinic is nearer to me in the west as I m staying...:err: So have you bring ur baby to Dr Heng before? how you find his diagnosis?

brought my daughter to dr heng only twice for the heart scan in tmc.
he was good, quick and detailed in doing checks & scans as babies tend to get fussy after a while.
saw lots of good comments about dr heng. :)

my daughter first pd was dr keoy. not sure what happen though but he didn't realise my daughter had murmur when she was born and during her first checkup. until one day my daughter was sick and he was not around, went to ang ai tin instead then realise this murmur thing. after which switch to ang ai tin from there and heart scan and checkups was done by dr heng. dr ang and dr heng did mention murmur is hard to detect unless the dr really very detailed.
almost 2 years ago.. my daughter now coming to 2year old le.
mayb things had changed oso.
currently with baby bear at woodlands since it's nearer to my house.

Hi Thanks Lisa.

I have a scenario here. Last thurs, my baby develop fever and bring her to see Dr Keoy and was given normal cold/cough medicine plus the fever medicine. Then sat, i brought her back again as her fever never comes down. Then Dr Keoy ask for a blood test and to test whether is a viral or bacteria infection then the result returned and Dr Keoy explains that was a viral. then on Monday again...her fever still didnt comes down and in fact, her body started to have rashes...and bring her back again and doctor did a check again n found out only yesterday that it was a bacteria infection now. Doc explains that initial stage is viral and second progress stage is bacteria...i felt strange....wondering if that was really...can a viral infection progress to a bacteria? the answer from him was "YES"..so i dun know was it the doc's fault for not checking it properly or was it what he described as was true....:err::elvis:

some months back, my daughter was having a high fever which went up & down and start to have some rash or red spot.
we self medicate her for 2 days at first but the fever never went off, we bought her to pd and was diagnose with viral attack or something where the pd at baby bear gave me a anti viral medication, the orange fever syrup & also bullet pill for the 'pi gu' in case the fever went too high during midnight.
at first when we see the rash or red spot was so worried as i heard about fake measles which also comes along after a high fever.
the viral medicine was good i think. we didnt use the orange syrup & the bullet only the usual pink syrup for fever.
and he was right and accurate about the date where everything will go away.

personally feel that the pd at baby bear was good. he will always tell me like when the fever will goes off. or how many days after the jab fever will occur.
at least we are prepared when can we expect the fever to go down, and if it doesn't we should be going back to the clinic. :)

i can never bring myself to go back to dr keoy.
it was so heart breaking to hear the news that my daughter had murmur from an other pd. what happens if i didn't go to an other pd, mayb it might have gone undetected. and we might have thought that the baby was healthy. even though i was told that the pd have to be very detailed in order to detect murmur. i'm a first time mummy definately more anxious about our baby and will also hope everything will be the best for her.

initially, i'm also so reluctant about switching from ang ai tin to baby bear after the incident. but was glad now that it's was a good experience with baby bear as well. moreover it's much nearer to my house. :)

Now i thought the gov new ruling says that CDA is available to 1st child onwards?
You will get a cash gift of up to $4,000 each for your 1st and 2nd child and $6,000 each for your 3rd and 4th child. All your children born on or after 17 August 2008 will also enjoy Government contributions in the form of a dollar-for-dollar matching for the amount of savings you contribute to your child’s Children Development Account (CDA). If your child is born before 17 August 2008, he or she will enjoy the Government matching contributions in the CDA if he or she is your second to fourth child.

This is what i read from the babybonus website :)

May i know what is MurMur ? Is it very serious ?
heart murmur is a hole in the heart where causes irrugular blood flood in the heart.
in this case one side of the heart might have to work harder.

smaller holes will seal up by itself usually.
but bigger ones will have to operate i suppose.

it's not very serious as i was told most grew up normally not knowing that they have murmur.

i remember that one with murmur have to let the dentist know when they visit dental but not sure what's the reason behind.
