  • Best not to use those that sit your child in & let the child free-wheel everywhere.

    Reason, from what I hear the nurses at KK Hospital advise, is that the child does not really learn how to walk, but more importantly, he/she might get the legs caught in between the wheels & the walker frame. We were told many children goes into KK emergency with their legs caught, some with bone fractures.

    Use one without the child in it, but guide the child walking around. There are lots by Fisher Price or Tomy, that is like a push-cart, with lots of interesting ringing, buzzing toys or rattles - it gives the child enjoy whilst he/she learns to walk.
