Hi,
Wanted to sell my Merries walker cause daughter not using anymore.
Total 12 packs available and letting go at $12 per pack (24 pieces per pack - size XL, suitable for 12~22kg).
My supply fell when I had a high fever. It came back to normal in about a week. I was prescribed domperidone as well and took it for a few days but didn't finish the course. Take care of yourself and do the following:
- drink lots of water and get well! we need at least 3 litres of water for...
Yes, can combine and then freeze if you're not going to use within 48 hours in the fridge. But safest to combine EBM from maximum 3 feedings (like what Biscuit is doing)...
Had a nightmare confinement. Agree that if can get someone to cook confinement food, don't need CL to stay in and cause so much trouble. My CL lasted 9 days only - she requested to go back to Malaysia. Wanted to recommend someone else to me but I refused cause didn't want to let her earn the...
For me, I started storing 180ml in milk bags. Can thaw in fridge and then split the milk bag into a couple of feedings so no waste. :) Don't need to store single feeding per bag.
When I combine bottles for feeding, I pour from newer to older bottle and feed that once mixed. Can keep the...
Yes alvingigi, don't worry too much. From what you've said in this thread, definitely sounds like you have enough milk. :) Don't need to supplement or your baby may not drink enough from you and your milk supply will drop.
Hi Tigger
For me, the foremilk will initially flow fast when I start pumping. Then it will slow down. Then, as I continue pumping and thinking about baby, I can feel the change in the breast and milk will literally come gushing out. That's the let-down I will wait to achieve.
Another way I...
My girl is about 2 months and she drinks about 120ml-140ml per feed and takes 6-7 feeds a day. I read before you can estimate 1kg=150ml. So if your baby is 5kg, baby will take about 750ml a day.
Not sure what you mean when you say it's a waste to use milk bags. You mean waste EBM or waste...
Then perhaps it's just your milk changing nutrient composition in response to baby's needs or your diet. I'll say Don't Worry as long as baby is happy and healthy. :)
Hi alvingigi
It's a common myth that soft breasts mean no milk. After our milk supply stablizes in the first month, our breasts will seem soft but there's definitely still milk! I know it feels very different from the first 2 weeks when the milk first comes in and our breasts feel very hard...
I'm using Avent DUO Isis. Like it a lot cause can control the speed by manual pressing and then set at a speed I like. Also can convert to manual pump.
BTW, cablecar1999, I own a double pump but sometimes find single pumping easier because I like to massage with the other hand when pumping. I...
Hi mummysk
I've been thinking about what you said (10-20ml per pumping session) and that your baby latches on. If your baby had no growing problems when you latched on previously and seems satisfied after a feed, then your milk supply is probably more than what you are pumping out.
I was...
Could you be pumping out more foremilk then hindmilk? I noticed that my foremilk is much more whitish and then the hindmilk is more creamy. Too much foremilk is not satisfying for the baby and may cause foamy stools.
Maybe increasing the time you pump at each breast or making sure the breast...
Don't be too stressed with amount of milk that is pumped. I used to stare at my breast while pumping and massage to force the milk out. Then I realized that relaxing and looking at my baby makes my milk flow much better! (even after the initial let down reflex).
Double pumping is supposed to...
Thanks for sharing your information! Been so busy with my 1 month old darling that haven't had time to log in. Will try the Nanny bags when I go back to work. Currently stopped freezing my milk, only pump enough for husband to feed 2 times a day and I take care of the rest. Read that milk that...
Do storage bags have a shorter storage lifespan than bottles? I bought Pigeon storage bags and was very surprised when the instructions said I can only keep for 3 weeks in the freezer! This is a far cry from the 3 months I was expecting. Wondering how long I can store for! Help!
