20 days old Baby Gasping for Breath at Times

Hi MOMs,

My Baby is now 20 days old and I am facing the below problems suddenly.

1. Baby is drinking 90ml per intake of FRISO Milk.
Today when I give milk , after every 10-20ml , he grasps for breath and push bottle away.

2. He seems to breath hard and gasp for breath. I dun know if he has phlegm or not.

Scared...Please guide.

is the hole of the teat too big? thus the flow too fast and the baby feels "choked"??
its best u check with a PD to see what's wrong.

yes bring to a pd!! i rmb my pd always tell us, if a baby cant breathe well (u can judge when they are drinking milk) shd quickly bring down to them. the 'symptons' he mentioned was like ur boy, drink abit of milk, push botle away and try to breathe hard, this could mean that he cant breathe very well thru nose.

Just notice is the hole of bottle is big, if yes then more quantity goes to her mouth thats why she/he is gasping. If no then go to child specialist.
