activity for 8mth baby

Haroo mummies,
Appreciate if u could share any activity given to 8 mths baby.
My baby was taken care by MIL. Majority of the time he will stay at home with my MIL.
The PD advised that no tv no electronic gadget to bb.
So, wonder what program or activity can be given while he stayed home with grandma.

TV is not good for children under 2yo but I did let my son watch those educational dvds when he was ard 5mth+ onwards but restricted the time. each dvd is ard 25min and i only let him watch 1-2 times daily. other than that, he will play with his toys etc.. And i think at this age, toking to them is also very impt, let him noe what is going on ard him. =)

When my son was 8 months old....I can't remember exactly what I did! Haha...time goes by like a flash.

All I remember doing was talking to him a lot, showing him things and labeling them repeatedly, like ball, book, shoes, socks, milky etc. And also his body parts as he discovered them, like head because he was hitting his head a lot so I took that opportunity to repeat and tap my head along with him, as well as ears. So by the end of 8 months he could find his ball and pass it to me when I asked "Where is your ball?", and touch his head and ears when asked.

That's all I remember. I didn't let him watch tv at that age though...mostly because he wasn't interested in it at all.

how i missed that time

I think we just let her crawl and explore her playpen which has lots of different sensory toys Sometimes she'll want to see what her older cousins were doing. We didn't put her in walker.

Some nights, we'd watch selected sesame street clips on youtube. We'd sing and talk to her. Or let her observe us. She loves crawling on our bed.

Now she can "compose" her own lyrics & stories and sing to tunes of many nursery rhymes

But my son not so interested on toy... Play for awhile only..

He like the 7pm Taiwan drama, the song 'ai'... He will turn off once the song end...
He will angry if I dun let him listen the song.
Also, like to watch news everyday..

Any education dvd FM recommend?? Too many variety le, no idea which one is more suitable.

Chance upon tis topic, my son also love the Taiwan TV Drama "ai" song, he will be so engrossed and stop n pause to listen till e whole song ends.. im suprised that ur boi like it too..

Must be when we r preggy, we watched this show everyday. hahhaha..

When my son was 8 month as he can sit well.
I played with him children puzzles , blocks and reading books to him.

Tv yes he did watched for about 30 minutes a day.

Seems like our son having a same interest... Hahaha..
My son only can flip not crawling yet.. Always go for backward after flip.

My friend told me tat my boi lazy to crawl as he can walk by using his 'super car' haha..
