Hi baby moo,
I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Strangely, I did not have any symptoms apart from not being able to conceive... My menses had always been regular, not much pain... I was trying to concieve for 18mths now. Saw 3 gynae. The first one did not mention about PCOS, only said I have got endometriotic cysts. She kept pushing me for IUI. I wasn't keen at that stage as I still wanted to try naturally. I felt that she was very money oriented. The second one also did not mention about PCOS. She also just mentioned about the cysts. She asked me to try naturally or go for surgery to remove the cysts prior to doing IUI/IVF. She even said that clomide is of no use to me as I'm ovulating on my own. I got so confused and decided to see another gynae for a third opinion. He was very thorough... He scanned me again & said that I've got a cyst & a fibroid. But it's the PCOS which is most likely the cause of me not able to conceive. He put me on clomide & monitored my ovulation.
I conceived after my first cycle of clomide. I'm due next week.
Pls dont't be discouraged. you will conceive soon. Have you started your IVF? Did you try clomide prior to that?

Hi there

I was diagnosed with PCOS since last August and have been trying to conceive naturally til Feb this year - i decided to seek for professional help. I know that PCOS is the cause of my irregular menses and I ever thought of going for Key Hole Surgery or even IVF to get pregnant. In the end, I went to Kandang Kerbau Hospital to see the Gynae and was advised to take Clomid to let me ovulate and was told that success rate was 80%. I took for 3 cycles from Feb to May and in May - i managed to conceive. I am now into my 32 weeks..everything has been smooth.

Please do not be discourage and seek advice from your gynae.

Gd luck ^^

What is the difference between PCOS and endometriotic cysts?

Hi Angel Baby,

It seems that i have a similar problem. My mense is regular but have been trying to conceive but couldn't. Gynae put me on 1 month ova-mit but shows no sign of improvements.. Would like to get a second opinion.. Anyone has good gynae to recommend?

Sorry for my late reply. I gave birth to my baby girl last mth. So have been very busy with confinement. U shld definitely get another opinion. I would highly recommend Dr Henry Cheng from women's specialist clinic in Bishan. He's very professional.

Hi.. I was diagnosed with PCOS 6 years ago and I am currently 14 weeks pregnant after trying for 2 yrs. So just wanna tell all my fellow PCOS-ers not to lose heart and keep trying! I'm happy to help answer any queries on trying to concieve n PCOS if I am able to. It's been a long journey for me, with traditional chinese medicine, ovarian drilling, clomid, IUI n finally IVF/FET before I conceived... Would love for my experience to be of help to a fellow PCOS-er going thru the same journey... :)

Hi all,

Im overweight, my cycle was haywire.
I was told by 2 doctors that i have PCOS. But I believe mine was just the early stage but I did not go further with the checks which Im suppose to. I just leave everything to GOD. And my prayers were answer im pregnant 16 weeks now with my 2nd child. So dont be dissapointed..... when your time comes you will have it. Just continue with all the efforts.

Hi,

I am also diagnosed with PCOS and have long and irregular cycles. I still managed to conceive naturally without any medications or anything.

Basically, I just follow a plan that I set out myself:
- follow healthy diet, take prenatal vitamins, hubby was also on multivitamin
- exercise more (recommended by gynae as I was slightly overweight due to PCOS and reducing weight helps to make you ovulate better)
- rely on my ovulation strips and Clearblue to test for ovulation since there is nothing else I can do to track my ovulation as it is so irregular (note I am not promoting anything but sharing what I did)

Currently in 3rd tri and delivering soon. Baby dust to all and wish you all the best! Don't get discouraged as you can still conceive even with PCOS.

I'm 30 this year, married for a year. Got pregnant after 3 months but miscarried at 3 weeks. I only found out i have PCOS after i went for a follow up for my miscarriage to make sure everything is cleared, no infection. I am was very surprised because i thought only overweight people have PCOS... dear me.

I have pcos and doc told me i won't concieve naturally so i was not very careful about contraception. Then accident happened! Or it could be due to lower stress as i didnt work during that time or was the vitex i was taking to regulate menses.
