Yes yes! Thank you for the reply.
:)
We're thinking of trying natural first for 2 yrs from now before attempting IVF after all.
But this is kind of assuring to know about the grant.
Just hope there's no more changes along the way.
What did your gynae say about you n your DH condition? First thing first, how long have u been married? Its good to seek out a gynae opinion if you have been trying for more than 6mths to a year and find out what's wrong. Dun delay anymore.

I think it will be good if you and your hubby go to some fertility doctor and start on some investigations to check it there is anything that need to b fixed or not. Dont wait till its too late.

Hello Fellow Heroines,
Just to share with all on our case. We tried for 3 years and went thru TCM, IUI and only finally successful on IVF.
Mommy had no issues on the fertility test results but hubby have low volume but extremely high concentration, also have only 2% healthy sperms n low mobility..
Thinking back on the past 3 years, the effort, money and agony, we should have opt for ivf back then..
i wouldnt say ivf is painless or hasslefree, but it shouldnt b any worse than actual preggie, delivery n confinement?

Hi Finallyhere,

Care to share yr TTC journey n how u eventually get preggy via ivf. Which doc were u with? How many ivf did u go thru before succeeding? How much did u spend in all for the ivf? What was the protocol that doc used? What's yr diet like before u start ivf and during the 2ww?

TIA for sharing if u care to share.

u r definitely eligible for ivf if based on age alone.

have u started on anything like consulting gynae n checking on both u n yr husband's fertility issues?

Yup we went. He asked me to regulate my cycles before doing any further tests... Thinking of visiting fertility spec to do detailed tests to check any blockage etc so can relate to the tcm for help too..

If yr gynae is not a specialist in fertility field, u shd quickly go n seek consultation from a fertility specialist, dun delay any longer. There may b hidden problems that u are not aware.

Hi simplewoman,

Sorry for this late reply, working life has been punishing lately..

we are married for 4 years and has been trying since then. On the second year, we visited Dr Marianne for test and got the results as described earlier.
we went for occasional holidays and TCM for 2 years but still no good news.
did IUI once last year and also failed, decided to go for IVF since time is not on our side, are very lucky that first IVF attempt is a success!!
Our IVF is also administer by Dr Marianne, total damage about 11K plus, seriously we didn't really tabulate coz the bills came scattered per visit and per procedure.. 6K can be deducted from Mediasave
Mum was put on hormone injections & pills for a month after menses to grow the eggs. On D Day, we have eggs harvesting and sperm collection where hospital will take the next 2 days to fertilise.
2 days later, we went back for embyro transplant. Mum was given 2 weeks MC and 3 months of daily pills.
Not much of Diet restriction except for that week of procedure, mum has to drink as much isotonic water and egg white to prevent some after-procedure effect, something about flushing out the fluids accumulated from the egg follicles (pardon us, we are medical noobs...)
We are lucky to have Dr Marianne monitoring our ovulation progress closely, ensuring our eggs were growing well but yet not too much & too many. I think that helped alleviate the pain and bloatedness in mommy.
I feel that it's very important to have a gynae whom you can trust and feel assured throughout the process.
And like I mentioned before, it's not a painless or hassle-free process ( you gotta poke yourself every night!!) but it is definitely a worthy memory & experience!! :) Daddy call this a proud battle scar!!!

Hi,

Anyone get pregnant with the Husband has sperm problem? My husband and I have tried for Baby for 4years and all the way no luck at all. We have tried 3x IUI but has 1x MC & 2x failed so we are thinking of doing ivf. I'm not sure whether we can get pregnant naturally with this kind of abnormal sperm.

Please let me know if there is any successful mummies.

Angela
