when can we feed the baby barley water?? once they are born? Or after how many month old???

Hi Mummies,

Pls advise if I were to give purely barley water to baby, how much can we give? And how many time(s) per week can we give?

i used to give pin once per week each time 100-150 ml.
but i think 2-3 times per week is also fine, just that it might be too cooling for the child.

Actually, it depends on individual as to when to give.

For myself I started only when he was 5mths+. I use the barley water mixed with milk powder for 2-4x a mth for the whole day Whole day would be roughly 1l of barley drink.

i asked my mum ytd, she told me cannot give everyday. maybe once a week will do. cos barley is for cooling, drink too much also not good...

i give once in a while when i feel the weather is too hot..
but he dun like to drink barley so i add into his milk feed..
