Hey mummies!! Anyone know how long can breast milk be kept in fridge & freezer? I read from diff website & e guide given by hospital, but the guideline given were all diff.
i just went for breastfeeding parental class at TMC yesterday... the consultant said EBM can be frozen 2 to 6 months... do check milk is not sour before using. The frozen smell that some mummies have mentioned is fine so long as baby accepts it. For refridgerated ones (4 degree celcius) you can store up to 48h. Once defrost EBM, can only use for 24 h.
