Crying baby

Hi,

I'm having a problem recently with my youngest dd... She is coming to 2 mths, recent this few nights, she dun really sleep, even after milk she just keep crying if I put her down (even when she is asleep), then have to coax her to sleep again... Hence have to carry her thru the night. Then till morning about 6-7plus then she will slowly go back to be herself, the routine, every 2hrly then drink milk... It's quite a prob, coz my hubby can't really have a good night rest and the next day he have to work...

I'm breastfeeding her, normally after drinking she will look tired and fall asleep, or at times she is already half asleep while drinking. But when night time comes, after 12, she dun want to slp after bf, so I did tried to feed her formula, thinking that she didnt dink enuff... She will drink abit then start to refuse the milk and cry...(seems like she dun really like formula?) When this happens, I breastfeed her again, she will drink also but when she stop/fell asleep, I'll tried putting her down to sleep and she will start crying again... I dunno is it that she is too used to suckle that she is just sucking for comfort? (I dun think so also because at times, think she suck no milk she will throw temper and I have to change side to feed her/let her suck again...)

Anyone have similar prob?

Hi dear... Well... my dd used to sleep in the daytime thru out and wake during nite time for the first 3mths. Yes, it did turn the sleeping routine for dh and me upside dwn. For the first 3mths, dd refused to sleep on her playpram too.... therefore even we anti sarong strongly in the past, we surrender and let her sleep in the sarong finally.... Her sleep improves alot at the 4th month till now. I think newborn babies need time to adapt their sleeping routine as they can't really differentiate day and night yet. Maybe bear with it for a couple of months and see how it goes? Or have u try your baby out sleeping in a sarong?

Hi,
haven try sarong, but tried bb rocker? (net one) But no use put her down she wake up, then the more we rock the louder she cries... lol...

Me also, but is anti pacifier, but this bb cries are so scary so tried, but not really useful coz she dun really know how to suck it, keep dropping...

Ya, my bb also like tat one, close eyes tot sleep le but put her down she open eyes and stare at me... Else carry half way she will keep opening her eyes and see, like spot checking like that... lol...

Tired still nvm, but more to me not enuff slp then less patient with the elder one.. At times just feel so bad/guilty to my elder dd... :/

Luckily not all are working mommies! Try to have some rest or take a short nap while kiddos are sleeping, regardless day or night... Take care :tlaugh:

Very tired to carry her all time. already seen doctor, still like that for a week liao. is she teething? her front 2 teeth below growing. or being cry baby? :bsad:

it bcoz she is sick tts why when u play wif her, gif her toys n pacifier wont help coz u cant xpect her unwell still got mood to play + when bb r sick they r more cranky than usual as they dun feel well but they cant xpress themselves other than crying.

i knw it very tiring for u to keep carry her as my ds often behave like tis too but mayb bcoz she feel better even though she is sick n feel more secure when u carry her. My ds aso wont recover so fast even after seen doc so dun worry too much n hope she will recover soon.:wong19:

At times she still happy n playing bcoz she knw her own body condition when to play n when still can happy BUT when we try to play wif them or wat when they r nt in mood bcoz of sick yet cant express themselves to us tats why lor.

They recover slow bcoz their immune system isnt as gd as us tts why slower. I normally bring my ds to his USUAL PD as i dun trust GP coz sum of them duno wat kind of medicines infant cant take n can make things worse + duno how much dosage is nt more than wat an infant can take. If u read 1 of the thread whereby sum mummies mentioned tt their bb see GP end up kena overdosed by the doc prescribe to them as infant r nt the same as toddlers or adults which their body cant take too strong dosage or medicines. PD for sure knw wat medicines infant can take while aso knw the correct amount infant can take coz they r specialist for infants.

I rather pay more $$ for PD than GP, although GP r cheaper BUT i dun wan my bb in risk of health when they r already sick. Btw tis is my personal opinion which u can tink abt it wat i mentioned n decide by ur own to go GP or PD.

no lah not tt i am very experience mummy but rather i haf a very problematic ds tats why FORCED to gain more knowledge lor but of coz i might nt b 100% rite but base on wat i went thru tt hope can let u understand wats wrong wif ur dd.:tlaugh:

Paiseh i dun live west so i duno which PD is gd at west side BUT u can check out 1 of the thread abt PD where mummies recommended sum PD there. For myself, initially my ds see a pd at Mt A but we dun like tat PD coz he doesnt seem to b attentive to our queries n aso like as if in rush so end up we went to another PD which is sum1 recommended at sengkang but i live serangoon.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Some PDs were previously GPs too... So I believe all doctors are well-trained in terms of medicines that they prescribe...

Ya, still depends on individuals whether you're comfortable with GPs or PDs... :)

erm...like u say SUM PDs were previously GPs too but nt all n of coz doc r well trained but they r not specialist in infants after all IF NT why would ppl see PD instead of GP sumore paying more $$ for it? It bcoz they r specialist wif pediatrician certs tat proved they r well knowledge in term of medications tats why we r paying more $$ for it.

Especially sum of the mummies here DID experienced b4 GP prescribe overdose amount of medicines n aso medicines r too strong tat r nt suitable for infants to take coz they r not specialist in infant so we cant blame too.

It rather of our choice to see GP or not. i agreed it depends on individuals whether ur comfortable wif GP or PD. For myself i will wan my ds see PD till he is ard 3yrs old then i am comfortable to bring him see GP instead.
