Detailed scan - small hole in heart??

Hi

I jus went for my 21 week detail scan. My gynae told me there might be a small hole like 2 to 4mm in my baby heart but she cannot confirm as she said it might that my stomach wall cause de scan to be blur so she said either she can intro me to a heart specialist for further scan or i can wait till the baby is bigger then we can scan again to confirm.
She also said even if its the case, there is really nothing we can do about it as normally the small hole will closed by itself before birth or few months after birth... hai ... so worried now.

Anyone encounter something similar or can give any advice??...Pls share. Thank you.

Hmm, don worry too much, I used to have a hole in my heart since i am small too, when i am in pri 1 check up found out that i have a hole in my heart, My mum have been bringing me to SGH for check up frm Pri 1 - Pri 6 and my last check up, my doctor told me that is fully recover and i don need to go back for check up, I didn't do or eat any medical jus recover by it self... Don worry too much first...

I just had my detailed scan done and its really worrying me alot. Doc said baby has VSD, hole in the heart. Plus baby has short nasal bone. I just did my amniotic fluid test yest and am waiting for the results. I'm only 27 and its the 1st baby. Does short nasal bone means baby has DS?

Did doctor give you any blood test? Coz the blood test and detailed scan will combine.

I went for a seminar abt DS and din remember any indicators such as short nasal bone is related to DS. Anyway, what does ur test result say? Hope it turns out to be nothing ya.
