Diarrhea!!

Hi mummies,

I have a 9mths old boy. Recently, he had diarrhea for 2 days.The doctor gave him probiotics and I started him on Slimilac soy powder..
He improved.. I started him back to milk powder after 5 days, his diarrhea came back.
I am not sure what is the root cause now?? Allergy?? Weak stomach??

Please kindly share if you have experience this
do advise

lactose intolerance? why not continue the soy milk?

I would like to continue with soy milk..

But he will constipate for 3 days after on soy for a week..

I also try serving him food or fruits with high fibers..

Still no use..

since u are giving fomula le, u can give him some water too. Be it Soy or Milk fomula cuz i think both will be heaty. my son don poo everyday sometimes, we will give him a bit papaya or let him drink more water.

Is he still drinking soy milk now?

DUMEX caused diarrhea for my baby. So we changed to FRISO. Pretty good.

My bb is currently drinking mamil dumex step 2 and she had diarrhea last 2 weeks. She temporary switch to Frisco soy milk but the moment we let her drink back the dumex, she will LS.

I dun understand is that she's been drinking this dumex since born and why is there a allergic?

Im now in dilemma whether to let her drink dumex or soy milk or switch to another brand of milk powder?

Diarrhea is common in all newborns.As babies cannot speak of the problem, the only way they can express discomfort is by crying. It is often a worrisome experience for parents. Diarrhea leads to dehydration and also gradual degradation of overall health of a baby.

If your son constipates, you can give him wheatgerm/flaxseed.
