Just like any other marriage life.. All families have their own set of problems.. It depends on how u manage n make things work..

I working full time but also facing financial difficulty, ESP my 2 kids r with me.. I'm raising them myself with no extra financial help but I believe I will see light one day...

Not easy, but as yrs goes by kind of used to it.

Understand that ur salary always nv enough due to kids expenses really EX...
Y dun u try finding another job with slightly better income?
But I know finding job isn't easy as well...

Anyway, I've received a few calls for interviews,
see which 1 salary higher will they n go for it lor... Heehee...

thinking of switching job but becos of my qualification, only O level, it's even more difficult nowadays.. 现实是残酷的..
Seriously thinking of another alternative like part-time home based job but no luck yet..
Maybe I should do some planning, whether to go take up some courses to upgrade but again.. Got to think of my kids, who to take care of them??

I've only N'Level, Flung My 'O' lor..
But becos I've experience in beauty industry,
Mainly 'Sales' la, beauty advisor or consultant.
Lucky I can find those with 5days job n basic salary okok~, so what I can do Ia to is to try my best to meet their targets n earn commission lor, as least can earn more ma...

Actually thr's a few kinds of homebase jobs lei, but mostly co-calling types like freelance recruitment agents, telemarketers for property agents, telemarketing for tuition company etc...

My fren has been encouraging me to switch to sales line, to earn more in terms of commission too.. But I got no confidence, not good in talking, not persuasive enough..
do u have experience on those home based jobs that u mentioned? I heard of the tuition agent coordinator n Thot of trying..

Actually u should give a try on sales lei..
Training is provided in most companies..
For the sake of money, no harm trying lor..
U nv try, u'll nv know..
I use to be a very quiet n shy person that duj suits to be in sales line.. But after trying, I find that it's actually not diff to do sales job, as we can interact with more people n learn more things from them..

I've not try those homebase Job, but I've a few friends who did that before during pregancy..
Heard from them that Its not easy too... I think working for a property agent as a homebase telemarketer should be easier..
Cos I used to be in property line as well, but Becos I fail exam of gov so I quit lol..

I had send my resume to a few beauty sales companies with 5 days work n got 2 replies for interview next week.

Indeed those days without my daughter is really sad n depressing lor..
But luckily i'm pack with work so i dun have much time to think so much,
except when at home alone in the room will cry myself..
But as time goes by, already get use to it, cos i still manage to see her every week..

Hmmm.. for the gov exam...
Becos last time when i switch to property line, there's no rules that have to take any gov exams before becoming an agent ma..
Only need to go through basic n advance property courses can already..
I'm in that line for 2 yrs and also got promoted to assistant marketing manager, but right after i got promoted not long,
SG GOV change law saying that all agents have to take this so call 'CEHA' exam den can be a real estate agent..

This exam contains lots of LAW topics la.. seriously omg...
This CEHA exam cost $200 for 2 papers.
1st try, fail all 2 papers.. 2nd try, fail 1 paper which is the law thing lor..
so i give up LOL!!!!

For a Telemarketer position wrk for property agents etc dun need take exam 1la! The 1 u apply is agent position is it? Telemarketer job is only co calling, help with online or newspapers advertising, fix appt at times.. Depends on wat the agent u wrking for wants u to do.. If need take exam is agent alrdy!

Yes i m currently taking a part time diploma at NYP. Thrice a week frm 1900 - 2200. But usually we get to go home before 2200 . The course that i take is diploma in biz practice can say specialise in customer relationship n service management.

i pay close to $620 per semester.. which last abt 4 months.. per semester there r 3 modules u need to complete while maintaining at least 75% attendance which is about 5 missed classes per modules. Unless u have mc or child mc.. u may scan it to course coordinating to excuse u..

This course is a 2.5 yrs .. u have the benefit of completing it in 5 years time if u wish to take a break after each semester.. in order to graduate with a diploma, u need to have 5 certificates after end of each semester.

Recently i read in e paper that republic poly oso have the same course but specialise in hospitality management.. oso thrice a week.. if it didnt class with nyp schedukeni would have taken it up too! Hahahaha

Hi Chye Ling,

Telemarketer job no need take exam like what vonn55 said. but it is not an easy job.

If you don't mind doing telemarketing, can also call for insurance sales. Some agents pay on a per appointment made basis so can call from home. But the market rate is like $10/appointment so unless u are very good at it, if not won't be able to earn a lot.

Doing the actual sales will be better if you are working for money. Be it property or insurance or any other sales job. Personally, i think property is tough cos most people can only view houses in the evenings or weekends and that is the time when our kids need us and the actual cost of starting is higher. I nearly joined the industry but i'm now in the insurance industry.Just sharing ah, i'm not trying to recruit you. haha!

I've been in insurance for the past 7 years, for the past 2 years, i work mostly 5 day week, and for the last one year, its very tough for me to go for evening appointments as i have to pick my gal up from childcare. Income wise definitely affected but still decent la. Only thing different is that our income fluctuate unlike a regular fixed pay job ut it also means that there are months when i don't work but still get paid. But need a lot of discipline to make it .

Hi Everyone, i am new here. Do you gals mind if i join in? i am still going thru my divorce, we have got no children so i will be moving out alone. No children, No house (staying with inlaws) and i dare not tell my siblings about the divorce. basically nobody knows and i do not feel like talking to any siblings or friends about it. i do not want them keep asking me questions when i am so confused either! Everything seems so well but it just happen... the best thing is my husband has been treating me so well that when he wants a divorce it caught me totally offguard.
