Do's & Don'ts to NBs/toddlers

How true is it not to tickle a NBs feet? or even toddlers? Is is true that the subject will be 'afraid' to climb steps and in future even over head bridges? Anyone gt any experience to share? any other dos / dons out there?

Both my kids have been tickled to death and are right now headstrong adventurers In fact, my 3yo doesn't seem to know the concept of safety very well, and since 1.5yo would venture all the way up the playground LADDER by himself! (not the steps!!)
