Hi
is anyone seeing this doc currently? I would like to hear more about him and his style. I read from some of the older posts that he's quite serious and a man of few words? Just wanted to get a feel of what he's like so that I'll feel assured when I see him.
I intend to switch doctors (high risk pregnancy) as my current one in SGH .. I'm not really sure about them. The reason I chose SGH was because my kidney doctor is also there hence if everyone was at the same place it would be easier in terms of accessing records and communication.
The reason why I intend to switch was there, few weeks ago, i had very very light/faint spot. One spot to be exact. Not knowing what to do and only 5 weeks then, I walked into the A&E of SGH.
I never realised how crowded A&E could be at 7pm on a Monday!! There were patients on beds all over the place, including the corridors as there wasn't enough space in the relevant cubicles. Needless to say, it took me 4 hours to get out of that place - 2.5 hours to see a gynae to have a scan and another 1.5 hours to wait for my medication and clearance to go home! Even as the gynae scanned me, he wasn't sure and had to call his senior I'm ok now but seriously, I can't imagine if it was a "real" emergency. There were soo many people in the A&E waiting for hours. From then on, I kind of lost confidence in them if i ever need to go back there again (touch wood that there's no such need!)
