I realli hope can just work until my EDD exact day. haha, but im afraid when my baby boy can't wait, i have no one to call for help as im working alone. haha! its safer to apply leave earlier, most prob first day CNY. your first pregnancy?

i intend to start my maternity on V day. hehe! just afraid bb will come out earlier. so more or less, most of us here, will go on ML ard CNY period. hehe!
get to eat all the CNY goodies den go deliver. haha!

hmmm ... i think i can eat b4 CNY but during CNY dun think can eat liao cos my EDD is 8feb n doc saY might b early by 1 week but hopefully is 3rdfeb or after *Pray hard* .... rabbit rabbit rabbit lols

hmm.. u got how many weeks maternity leave?

which doc u with at KKH?
not sure if u start ML right after a PH, will they consider u start ML on the 1st day of CNY anot..
else u will be starting ur ML on 3rd Feb instead of 7th Feb. 5 days difference.. u may want to check with your company on this.. in case they eat up ur ML. just to be safe~!

I also wanted a rabbit baby. thats why waited till May this year den "start".. haha!

end up, ok lar. come early jiu let it be. just afraid bb want to come out n celebrate CNY also. -_-"

hehe. talk to ur bb everyday. ask her co-operate abit.. to come out only on 13 Feb earliest. so when u discharge, just nice your CL can come already..

awww... im going to start my first lesson only next wed. im sooooo slow! haiz. dont think i will finish my lesson on time before i deliver lor. coz KKH class is 10 lessons. and there's a CNY inbetween.. so it drags about 11 weeks. and will end only 1 week before my EDD.. which the chances of skipping the last 2 lessons are VERY high!

btw, robinson sales at Expo? I still have lotsa things havent buy man.. but many said i v kiasu.. so early buy all those stuffs. -_-"

Oh I am referring to Robinson sale (cardmember preview) on 8 Feb. Not sure if there is sale for public after that, should be.
I think it's time you start buying, we are only abt 2 months away, it could be lesser than that if our baby comes out earlier (touch wood), for me, i buy bit by bit when there is sale

You can also check what KKH is giving you, e.g. Mt A is giving bath tub so I am not going to buy.

Hee hee, i am so determine to breastfeed that I refuse to buy any formula milk for now, don't want anyone or even myself to be tempted. Anyway, worse scenario i will ask my hubby to go NTUC to get lor.

Hi welcome to this thread! 3 months back when i start to call those freelance confinement ladies recommended by this and other forums as well as from my friends, most CL either already booked or not keen to do during CNY. Those who are willing charge double, e.g usually at $2,200, CNY at $4k or $3.8k which i find it is really ridiculous high! Even CL Agency also raise the rates during CNY.

Sigh... if only our EDD is towards end Feb, everything will be good, sure confirm a rabbit baby, easier to get CL and rates are back to normal. Anyway... good luck and hope you find a CL, otherwise see if your family or relatives can help you to do your confinement.

hey, i think your timing is very good! Your EDD is 26 Feb right? even if your baby comes out 2 weeks earlier, still 12 Feb, a Rabbit Baby! Good for you!

My EDD is on 26Feb. Just went to appmt yesterday, baby is 1.6kg. Doc said she is good size. Managed to get a CL for $2100, she said she will charge $2300/2400 if she needs to come before 18th (十五). Seems reasonable, right? I haven't bought any baby stuff yet, thinking of getting them later, really no mood shopping with big tummy. Worst case is to get them from NTUC nearby.

hehe.. so far, i only prepared pump all that. havent buy any formula milk all that. was just afraid the flow doesnt come so fast.. then the first few days may need to feed by formula milk.. coz my cousin's flow came only about 5days later after she deliver.. so i think different people will have different timing on the start of the flow..
but i think first day at hospital, the nurses will also feed baby formula milk.. coz i rem the nurse asking my cousin what brand she prefer den the nurse feed bb accordingly.

hmm.. EDD was brought forward 2 days. so now is 24 Feb. dunno whether will deliver naturally anot. becoz of bb being small, im afraid doc may need to C sect earlier or what. walk 1 step see 1 step now. but still hoping can drag till CNY over. else all my time planning for a rabbit baby since 2 years back will be gone~ haha!

im with Dr Law WS. sometimes see him at TPS.. sometimes see him at Clinic A.
coz at TPS, always on monday morning. i dont quite like morning appts. coz my company gave me 3 hours time off for every appt. so i prefer to go afternoon appt so i can go home aft appt. hahaha! so my appt is always on tues noon at clinic A. only if i cannot make it on tues noon *due to meetings at work,etc* then i will change to TPS mon morning session.
My EDD is on 24 Feb.

Yap, your rate is reasonable. Agree with you, now our tummy gets bigger, we tend to get tired more easily, which is why some people advise me to get my stuff during my 2nd trimester when i can 'run' around. You can get most of the stuff from NTUC I suppose, have you bought some clothing for your baby? some NTUC, e.g. NTUC Extra in AMK Hub, do sell baby clothing, otherwise you can get your hubby or family to get for you

ohhh.. but the prob is im afraid the delivery date will change as time passes. then quite difficult to confirm on the date..

I probably will go for Confinement foods catering such as Chilli Padi etc cos my MIL is a full pledge Vegetarian and my parents had passed away, thus left with no one to cook for me. CL is really too much for me.....
