i heard from my gynae if u felt the cramps or spotting, increase the dosage to one more time....
probably you can call up your gynae to check on how he advise...
thank god it is only a one off thing for you !!! :)

Faithmummy: heh yea...made me gan cheong! We have to contribute to Punggol population so really must take care..but thanks..will keep tt in mind abt e pills!;p

Mrsvistamio: I haven't started buying maternity clothes yet coz I lost quite a bit of weight since I conceived so I can still wear my usual attire..hehehe..where can we get nice and non-aunties ones do U noe?:)

thank you littlepea. I think I am used to walk very fast. my colleagues used to comment that i dash like wind... have to learn to slow down.

mrsvistamio: after my very first scan, I had to go back 2 weeks later (7wks),next one in 3 weeks (10wks) and e next one is in another 3 weeks (13wks).

I think e 12-13wks checkup/scan is a standard fixed one coz it is during checkup that ey will tell U whether everything is ok for baby coz ey will check for nasal bone and thickness of neck or other abnormalities. And if u had opted for the down syndrome test,ey will do e amnio test to cnfrm..

Has anyone done the oscar test? How long does it take for the results to be ready?

Today I had a terrible experience. My constipation is so bad I had to go to A&E. The whole thing is like a nightmare to me now, I'm glad it's over but I feel so terrible and sad and pain. Mummies please drink more water and eat more veggies and fruits.

mrsvistamio yea,at tt time I didn't know how far I was with my pregnancy coz I cldn't remember when was my last menses so kinda panicked when all I saw was a sac and a black dot. Gynae juz said I was less than 6 weeks. 2nd scan, heard e heartbeat and saw e fetus and it was estimated to be 7.2 weeks and I finally was told my EDD..:D

StellaC oh dear! it must have been a scary experience for U! *hugs* I don't eat vege so I try to drink milk/milo/horlicks everyday and since its CNY, oranges! glad everything is ok for U though..rest well babe!

Thanks girls... It was horrifying. I had been having constipation.. But today was terrible. My bowels got stuck and no matter how I pushed I couldnt get them out. Called my gynae and he says go to A&E to get a fleet... Using the fleet was pain, later passing the stools was pain. I think i will be in pain for days. Later at home I kept crying and my mum even came over... Really feeling terrible with the experience.

Oh dear..seems like I'm not alone with the constipation problem.
I've got 3 bottles of fleet on standby at home, excluding pills u insert into the hole. Fibogel and all other stool softener medicine I also have. Haiz

Ever since I gave birth to my girl, I had been suffering from constipation. So bad that I went to see specialist to check if anything wrong. He said I have minor piles which can go away if I don't aggravate it. So I had been eating senna tablets ever since.

Now with the little one, my gynae say better not to take those senna tablets n he gave me some liquid medicine. Can get off the rack from guardian or Watson.

@StellaC..I can totally feel your pain.

@wonderfullymade thanks..she is a little terror now. Haha time for me to update my avatar soon :D

@littlepea thanks for sharing. Today I'm still in pain, I hope the pain will Go away soon. How do u even use fleet on Ur own? I was screaming when the nurse used it on me :( now I'm worried the pain may be a sign of something more serious...

Mommies, i felt ur misery after hearing bout ur ms. This is my 2nd child n my appetite had been pretty huge thou. Lotsa cravings n cant stop eating....besides that m feeling fatique n lethargic. It was worse than having flu bugs in ur body.

Tmr i will b goin for my first scan n will tell my gynae bout my tiredness so that tmr m given a day off to rest. Reali tired n sleepy especially for working mommies.....cant wait to run at 5pm.

@StellaC Initially I also had difficulty..after a few wrong pokes, I found my own unorthodox method to make it easier. I lie down on my side, and instead of holding my knees to my chest like how the nurse had instructed, I found it easier if I just kept my legs relatively straight, maybe just bend the knee abit. And you hold the fleet not by the bottle, hold by the nozzle..near the tip, and slowly poke in. If pain, then u adjust abit until u can push it in without obstruction. If its painful, means something obstructing its path..could be piles or I don't know hemorrides. U might wana see specialist advice.
That time I had one major constipation and ever since then, I bled every time I poo. Initially I tot it will go away coz maybe just surface tear..but the bleeding continued for months and reached an alarming amt..can u imagine..dripping? Haa. Then I went to see specialist and was on senna tablets for months.
Hope u don't have to go thru my pain.

@Lovely26 hang in there working mummy! I was working during my 1st pregnancy and can totally feel u.
Envy your huge appetite! My first was smooth sailing without much ms and good appetite.
This one...not only do i have no appetite to eat..aiyo..I find it hard to keep my lunch and dinner in.
Always throw up within 2 hours after eating.
Then!, I found a way to keep the food in...
I split my normal food portion into 2 and eat it half an hour to an hour apart. Haaaaa

I am going for Oscar next thu (wk 11).. My last scan was at wk 8, and I am coughing for these few weeks, kinda worry.. Visited GP but was told not recommended to take cough syrup.. And I always feel cold? Anyone feel cold? I thought should feel hot during pregnancy?

My Oscar test is next tues. @yanting hope u recover from cough soon. Ya I normally feel very hot especially after a nap :(

Im in my 11 weeks now. Ms seem to be slowly going away but afternoons are still very tiring for me after lunch. Anyone also having ms fading away slowly?

My Oscar test is next Monday.. Looking fwd... My friend say e scan will show a very clear n unforgettable view of our bb....
My ms come n go... I dun vomit but feel nauseous n giddy frm time to time.. BUT I feel seriously tired all the time.. Really find it difficult to focus on work esp when I suffer frm bad sinus n now can't take my usual med....;(

Im same as you!! I also thought pregnant women feel hot but ever since I got pregnant I've been feeling extremely cold! Even at home i'd wear a jacket and long pants and cover myself with a fleece blanket - and the door is closed and fan is off! I thought I was abnormal, glad to know there are others like me... Haha
