Hi Everyone,
Just want to share an effective way of making jaundice go away for our babies.
My gal is 7 weeks and had to go through photo therapy on her 2nd week as her levels go beyond 300... He level final came down after the 2nd day of photo therapy.. However, she remain to be quite yellow even at 7 weeks bec she is a fully breastfeed baby.
Thankfully, a friend shared with me that I can go to chinese medical shop and buy this yellow flower (jing ying hua), boil it in water, and then shower the baby with the cool boiled water. The medical shop person told us to divide the portion into 4x and shower my gal for 4 days with the cool boiled water containing the flower. And indeed, after 4 washes, my gal became less yellow! Quite amazing.. don't know how it works..
If only I knew earilier than I don't have to hospitalize my gal for photo therapy. The flower is definately cheaper than hospital stay! And also, I know that some docs would advice mom to stop breastfeeding their babies bec of jaundice. I can finally eat some of the food that apparently "might" cause jaundice!
Hopefully this tip will be of help to all moms out here...
Blessings,
Janice
