Hi mintminer

Would suggest u to go checkup since you have been trying for a year. I take it as you are actively trying right?
There are a lot of factors to consider...age, any health issues, whether you are having regular "activity". As our window of opportunity is rather small each month, some people take a few months to conceive, some maybe 1-2years.

And of course, most importantly is to go check first to see if any underlying problems then at least you got something concrete to work on.

It's better to find a doc to check first as this will let u noe more info abt both u n hubby... Better than trying few yrs then start sourcing as tests all tt takes time

Depends on ur preference. Private or public?
I can only advice on kk as that's where i went previously. In order to get subsidised fees, you need to go polyclinic first to get the doc to refer u to specialist.
Docs wil just ask u routine qn...like your age, occupation, how long married, try for how long already and whether any health problems...

Then once referred to kk, they again ask the qns...and then doc wil "prescribe" tests for you to try to find out what could be causing

Examples of tests are blood test on Day 2, Day 23 i think. Maybe ultrasound (either at polyclinic already done or do at kk),Pap smear.... for men wil be sperm analysis.

Of coz there are other tests too, but first go thru the basics... then they try to narrow down the cause.

If you know any gynae, you can go straight to them, higher cost but faster speed. Private care is better coz of the high cost and more time efficient. Public like KK need to take alot of time, scheduling tests and see docs, but more affordable.
