Food for 4mths old baby...

is there any special reason y u wanna start ur 4mth old semi solid so soon? i suggest u to wait until 6mth (or at least 5.5mths) b4 u started ur bb solid food. =)

i would suggest waiting till 6 month too (even if baby's reflexes indicate that she/he is ready prior)

Hi,
i started 4 days ago, give my 4 months girl rice cereal.
she refuse bottle from 2 months, n always feel hungry all the time, seems interested with food. the PD said it's ok. i give her 1 teaspoon, 2 times a day
for the first time, she crying then i stop n try the next day

if your child is feeding well on milk, no need to rush feeding semi solids. good to wait til 5-6 mths b4 u start on cereal first. :)

I agree with Ting. There is no rush, Milk is definitely more nutritious than cereal.

i started my boy on rice cereal one week before he turned 5 months because he doesn't like to drink milk. We gave him one serving a day.

He likes the cereal so much that he takes slightly more than the recommended serving... and he ended up feeling hungry 3 hrs later still... sigh...

i think is v normal for them to feel hungry 3hrs later. ds also. he now alrdy 13mth but within 1hr aft lunch, he will scream for milk again.. haha..

my boy takes 120ml of milk for each feed. when we give him more, he refused. so every 3 hours we gave him 120ml.. really troublesome... :(

hw old is ur boy? i tot most babies are on 3-4hrs interval? last time b4 ds was on 3 meals solid, he also on 3hrs milk interval. somemore each time 180-210ml lehh..
