Help- blood found in yesterday expressed breast milk

Hi- I found that my lat night expressed breast milk colour looks very different this morning. Upon a closer look, I can see blood inside the bottle of expressed breast milk. Is it still safe to let my baby drink that bottle of emb from lay night that had traces of blood in it?

I think you should be asking your doctor. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable letting my baby drink ebm that has blood in it.

It probably is best to dump it as we don't know how blood may change in composition when stored, and whether bacteria can grow.... Unless you boil the milk....but that may kill of the goodies too.

If bubs was drinking when directly latched and you're bleeding, that's fine.... I wouldn't with EBM though.
