Just switch Job, worried about Maternity Benefits

Hi,

Anybody has experience this?

You just switch job and you are pregnant for 4 months+. Probation is 6 months. MOM states that employee is entitled maternity leave if she has served her employer for at least 3 months before the child's birth. But does that count if she is under probation?

"As long as the employee has served her employer for at least 3 months before the birth of the child, and meets the other eligibility criteria for maternity leave under the Employment Act or the Child Development Co-Savings Act, she is eligible for paid maternity leave."

Look under 'Employees on probation' in http://m.mom.gov.sg/employment-practices/leave-and-holidays/Pages/maternity-leave.aspx#EligibilityEA
