Hi dvr, i had also just got myself a maid tk help up with the chores n taking care of my 2 yrs old gal. I went to home keeper at katong shopping centre. The personnel (Shnn) had offered gd help to me. As a first timer, I'm happy to get this current maid. She is hardworking & initiative. I recently gotten a Myanmar maid from Eelit Placement Agency @ Katong and the service is good. The agent - Sherly is very detailed and very patient with my requirements. Highly recommended. :weyes:
Thanks Anniston for the recommendation. Gotten my Filipino maid from Eelit for almost a month now and everyone loves her. My daughter of 4 years is so close to her, and all thank to her, i now have so much more free time to do my own stuff. Hahaha, me bad! I think that good maid agencies are very rare now. So we should recommend those that provide good services to benefit us employers.
I have tried some big agencies before and i have to say that their service really sucks. Follow-up services after collecting the deposit were really terrible and always difficult to reach them either by phone or email. Good customer service was non-existence with hardly any smiles when talking to you.
So i will like to recommend the agency which i have chosen and really very satisfied with the services provided by this agency - 1st Class Maids & Employment Agency.
From the interview to handover of the maid, i didn't have to step out of my house because the business owner - Ted brought the maids to my house for interviews, paperwork and finally handover the maid on the transfer date. This is really different from many agencies which i had to go all the way to their offices to get anything done.
Initially i was abit concern because they are a relatively new agency, but he proved me wrong because he was very patient with all the questions i had for him and was answering my sms, whatsapp & emails even late at night. He is always reachable even when overseas while he goes to Philippines or Myanmar to interview the maids.
Even after handover of the maid, he is still reachable if i have any concerns or questions.
So far i have recommended him to several of my friends & relatives and they only have thumb ups for his service levels.
I am not getting anything out of this recommendation, only just want to share a good agency which is very rare nowadays

Took a maid from this agency 4 months back. Small office but personalised services. Not those bigger branches where it is too sales oriented and pushing me to simply take a maid from them. Took time to understand my needs (elderly mum) and made recommendation which i think suit my needs.
Current maid is hardworking. Only drawback is sometimes i need to repeat a few times as she is a little slow. Good thing she is attentive.
The agency that i took from informed me that if i find her service good to recommend more frds. And she will give them a discount. Hi grace88sg, how's your filipino maid so far? Went down to eelit yesterday and interviewed a few filipino maid but none really suitable, except for one but got 5 children. Only worry she come here will home sick then I die! Anyone can advise if I should consider this maid with 5 children?
I got 2 of my maids from Raffles Employment in Jurong West,i am in the East but i didn't have to go down to the office at all, Everything done online,paperwork and payment, maid arrived and they send to my place. I will be hiring another one soon for my mum. Good thing is the biodatas were emailed to me, I just shortlisted a few, and I got the Agency's help to Skype all 5 maids before i skyped them. Pam ,was the one I liaised with ,she was very patient,listening to my previous horror maid stories heeehee ..and took me through the whole recruitment process in a very professional manner. Small agency but good work ethics they had and customer support .
Hello sassysassy, sorry for the late reply. haven;t logged in for a while. The Filipino maid i got from Eelit is good! Yes, she helps me with almost everything in the house. Really nothing to complain. Maybe only thing about her is she sings a lot... yes literally sings through out the whole day. Other than that, we are all very happy with the maid.
Not sure if you have gotten the maid with 5 kids. I asked my maid about it, she said is ok cos most of them want to earn money. So when they leave home, they would have already gotten someone close to look after their kids. But of course at the beginning she might feels home sick. Anyway good luck to you!Kimberlystarry

Hi Mummys, understand that we are all looking for good maids. Maybe u all can try jack focus at Katong shopping centre. I hired my current helper for 11 months alrdy and she is not giving me any problem. the agency is also very good in helping me to choose initially and giving me appropriate advice on how to see which helper by their face is somebody i can work with everyday.
the cost quite minimum as well. my neighbour is the one who intro to me, apparently she hires her maid from that agency for 10 years and only have 1 problem with 1 helper that she sent back to Philippines.
so if u mummys are interested, can give them a call first. sometimes i heard the transfer maid can be good as well, just that maybe don click with the previous employers.

Just confirmed my maid from EELIT recently at Katong SC. Sherly was the agent who served me and she is very thorough with the entire process. I started by emailing my requirements to several agencies and only EELIT bothers to reply my email. Sherly was also very patience and detailed throughout the email correspondences. After shortlisting the biodata, i arranged for an interview and went to the shop.
While waiting for the interview to be setup, someone called in asking for transfer maid and was very demanding (could tell through sherly's reply) and I could hear the caller beginning to be louder in her tone. All this while, Sherly kept her patience and handled it very professionally.
After she hung up the phone, i asked her if the caller was her customer complaining. Apparently, the caller wasn't even her customer. Was calling to enquire on transfer maid which she didn't have but the caller couldn't accept no as an answer. Anyway, long story short. Sherly is really professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable maid agency. Sherly has many good reviews in this forum and several others as well.
Anyway I completed my interviews and confirmed a maid with her on the spot. Very smooth and professional process. Hopefully the maid is as good as the agent.
