Loud breath sound when sleep

Hi, is it normal for infant from 2-month old having loud breath sound when sleep ? My baby is having this sound since 2-month old till 7th month now. We shall follow up the observation in KKH specialist this month... no sure what to do now ?

does it sounds lik 'phelgm' or even 'snoring'? my pd told us this is normal. ds has it too. he said it will goes away at 6-8mth old. but from ard 4mth+ onwards, it seems slightly better and at 6mth, it fully goes off. =)

Anyone has encountered the same problem ? there is loud breath sound when sleep. The breath sound is normal when the baby is awake and playing. Quite worrying....

As what PD said,

It's common. Or maybe becoz of gene...if both or either parent snore, maybe a bit will link...or got breathing problem..but u can judge is it breathing problem or just purely snoring

The sound was high pitch when he is 2 month old and now become rough breath sound. Ya, he is having "phlegm" but after no improvement after eating medicine.

Hi,

He also having slightly protruding chest, may be he needs more strength to breath and cause the chest's rib to pull higher on the right side. The doctor keep saying for more observation and need diagnosis because the root cause still unclear. After ENT endoscope inspection, nothing was found, no abnormality till voice box...
