Milk too hot for babies

Hi,

Anyone have any experience feeding hot milk to baby. This morning, my baby was crying so bad and I think the milk I fed her was too hot.

What will happen to the baby.

if the milk too hot,all the nutrients of the milk will be gone..test first before you fed your baby..

then maybe u can consider getting a thermometer.

Yes.. i agree with Joanne... All nutrients will be lose if milk too hot... try put warm can already..

to u maybe is ok, but to babies, they are v sensitive.. actu it is OKAY for the milk to be slight abit warm only. lets say if u're making 120ml milk, 90-100ml room temp water and the remaining 20-30ml hot water.

FM should be around 38 degrees... If u think about why is there a need to make it so warm when breastmilk is body temperature. We just need to make FM warmer because unlike bm, it will cool as bb drinks.

So the bottle of fm tt u make should only feel slightly warm against ur skin on the inner arm.
