Dear Parents and Children,

Thank you for your support on 2nd and 3rd June 2012, we've had lots of fun together with our Muse Kids!

For those who have missed the previous trial classes, we are opening up for more trial classes and varieties of classes on 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th June 2012 at only $10 per class!

Classes available for trial:
-Music & Movement (Music Toddlers for 1.5 to 3 years old, Music & Me for 3 to 5 years old and Musician Me for 5 to 7 years old)
-Dance classes (Ballet for 3 to 12 years old, Hip Hop for 5 to 12 years old, Bollywood for 7 to 12 years old, Belly Dance for 7 to 12 years old, Jazz for 7 to 12 years old and our very own creative movement class for 7 to 12 years old A.R.C)
-Music classes (Keyboard Magic for 5 to 7 years old and Keyboard Fun for 7 to 12 years old)

We have a range of classes for children age 1.5yrs to 12 yrs old ranging from Music classes, Dance classes and also Music & Movement Classes.

Music Class (All classes are for 60 minutes per session for a total of 10 sessions + 1 showcase)
Keyboard Magic
5 to 7 yrs old; $32/student per session (Max 8 students per class)
Course duration: 60 minutes per session; 10 sessions within 3 months
Keyboard Fun
7 to 12 yrs old; $35/student per session (Max 8 students per class)
Course duration: 60 minutes per session; 10 sessions within 3 months


Prices are Nett and inclusive of:
1. Usage for keyboard
2. Practical workbook and ABRSM Theory workbook
3. Muse Arts Child Development Progress evaluation report

Dance (All classes are for 45 minutes per session for a total of 10 sessions + 1 showcase except A.R.C)
Appreciate, Reinvent and Creativity (A.R.C) - 9 to 12 yrs old; $23.90/student per session (Max 15 students per class)
Course Duration: 75 minutes per session, 10 sessions within 3 months + 1 showcase
Belly Dance- 7 to 12 yrs old; $19.90/student per session (Max 15 students per class)
Jazz- 7 to 12 yrs old; $19.90/student per session (Max 15 students per class)
Baby ballet- 3 to 4 yrs old; $19.90/student per session (Max 15 students per class)
Pre-primary ballet- 4 to 7 yrs old; $20.90/student per session (Max 15 students per class)
Primary ballet- 7 to 12 years old; $21.90/student per session (Max 15 students per class)
Hip Hop A- 5 to 8 yrs old (Max 15 students per class)
Beginner - $19.90/student per session
Advanced - $21.90/student per session
Intermediate - $24.90/student per session

Hip Hop B- 9 to 12 yrs old (Max 15 students per class)

Advanced - $23.90/student per session

Music & Movement Classes(All classes are in a package of 10 sessions + 1 showcase)

3 to 5 yrs old; $28/student per session (Max 15 students per class)

1. Entitlement to use each of the equipment for the classes without the need to share.

Classes will be starting in the first week of July except for Ballet and Jazz which will be starting in the last week of June

Muse Arts' Music and Movement classes:


Through music, children would be able to recognize rhythms, pitches, expression, musical notation and pulses which are very important in child development. Such skills can be used in their daily lives as they understand the importance of momentum and pauses to enhance verbal communication and building on their brain-body coordination. Recognizing music notation is a practical skill which all children can have, so as to prepare them for future exposure to musical instruments.


We have 3 groups of classes mainly for the different age groups: Music Toddler (1.5yrs old to 3yrs old) Music and Me (3yrs old to 5yrs old) Musician Me (5yrs old to 6yrs old)

Muse Arts very own Appreciate, Reinvent and Creativity (A.R.C) dance class

A.R.C is a unique creative-movement class which helps students translates their expressions of an art work through body movements. Student will be exposed to many variations of the arts, famous painting and artworks, music and short story, and by using their own body movement; they will interpret the artists' or composers' inspiration of the artwork independently through dance. Ending the 10 weeks program, each student will produce a piece of artwork (dance) to express how they feel about the course.

1. Learn to appreciate different forms of art and reinvent them with personal expression through a creative process of exploring, abstraction and creation by using body as an instrument.

2. Build confidence, receptiveness, enthusiasm and creative thinking while encouraging the student to have their own perspective.

3. A.R.C not only relieves stress for the students, but also prepares them into entering an expressive world where every speech, actions and behaviors play a very important role in good communication.

Muse Arts is currently looking to volunteer its Music and Movement classes to non-profit children homes or childcares for free. Would appreciate if you could contact us of any centres that would not mind accepting and exposing their children to our services.

Working Duration: once a week for ~6 months
Duration: 1 hour/class
Day & Timing: Tuesdays 10am to 1pm (available for 3 hours a day)
Maximum student per class: 15
Age Groups: 1.5yrs old to 3yrs old
3yrs old to 5yrs old
5 yrs old to 6yrs old

Keyboard Classes
Introductory classes to keyboard for children aged 5 to 12. Muse Arts’ keyboard class focuses on building each child’s interest in piano while exposing them to the basic techniques of playing keyboard. For the our older group classes, we will be using Grade 1 theory by Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) to teach our children so as to provide them and the parents a sense of graded piano syllabus.


Muse Arts’ keyboard class is a platform for parents to identify and children to find their interest in keyboard before embarking onto a more specialized field. With the Mission of “Developing your child through Music, Dance and FUN” Muse Arts puts priority in building the interest of each child.

Muse Arts is conveniently located 2 minutes away from Kembangan MRT station. With a wide variety of children enrichment centres (etc. speech and drama and Chinese phonics), established childcares and well-known tuition centres within reach, Kembangan can be a one stop centre for your child to expose to different enrichment activities.


Muse Arts' studio is designed to be spacious but yet cosy and comfortable to suit all kind of classes. We have full height mirrors to cater for dance classes where students will utilize the mirrors to understand and observe how they move their own body.


For music & movement and music classes, curtains will be drawn down to avoid distractions of the children.


The studio is handicap friendly with spacious toilets and barrier-free entrances and exits.


Although we are not binded by MYCS regulations, we follow their required specifications on "minimum required spaces for children" when designing the studio and deciding on maximum capacity in the studio. Our studio is also approved by SCDF, that the studio's fire safety works is in accordance to the Fire Safety Act.

Muse Arts take all safety regulations and guidelines seriously so that we can provide all our parents a piece of mind when they send their children in.

What will we be doing?

Keyboard
Using different sound effects to create eerie atmosphere
Story telling using sound effects
Learn to play tunes of "Tacanta" and "Thriller" on keyboard

Dance
Dance to "Thriller" choreography
Introduce some of Michael Jackson's signature moves
Our Halloween Theme party is children friendly with the main objective of exposing them to the Halloween culture through music and dance. It is not meant to be scary, but rather, educative.

Ever wanted to let your child experience all kinds of artistic activities before committing and specializing in one?

Muse Arts provide a platform for all children to experience dance and music without the stress of examination. While doing so, parents can also observe their child’s talent and interest, so as to make a more informed investment on the child’s artistic side.

ü In Muse Arts, we do not believe in examination as many children have the fear of been evaluated and as such, kill them of their interest.
ü We believe in building confidences and encouraging the child’s own interpretation in music and dance in each class, with the trainer’s proper guidance, so that they will not only in music or dance, but also in their daily life.

Jazz is a type of music of black American origin characterized by improvisation, syncopation, and usually a regular or forceful rhythm, emerging at the beginning of the 20th century. This genre of dance style place much focus on dramatic movement of the body and facial expression.

Classes are open to kids aged 3 to 12 yrs old
