Playpen or Baby Cot for 6.5 months old baby?

Hi Mummies,

Need your valuable advice on the following:

My 6.5 months old daughter currently sleeps in yaolan. We are thinking of getting her a bed. However, we are not sure if we should get her a playpen or baby cot. She is rather big sized thou.. :001_302:

Which would be more appropriate?

We bought a cot which can be converted to a junior bed and a playmat before baby was born.

She's now 6 months 11 days old and is a tall baby who loves stretching her body and in her sleep she will turn 360 degree! So now, the cot doesn't serve it purpose anymore and she is sleeping on a bed with us (during daytime) and with the maid (at night).

During the day, I will leave my girl in the playmat (those with toys hanging on the arc/pole kind) and let her play on her own. It's good as touching/playing toys allows her to exercise her reflexes and not demanding to be pick up all the time.
