Hmm, I've seen online saying newborns do not need any other fluid intake if they are breastfeeding as all the nutrients will be sufficient for the baby. Too much water will cause the baby to 'wash off' the nutrients.. not too sure how true. Better check with doc?

Hi welshia,

kinda da true what Pie says. I do read up somewhere that milk is the best nutrients to the baby. Too much water also not good.

as for red dates, from my nieces to my son....red dates water is only when babies are having jaundice.....the singseh recommend to be used for bathing purposes.

but u can check with ur doc

not recommend to give newborn red date water. Breastmilk is sufficient! Mommy drink red date date and pass it thru breastmilk to baby
