Thinking Wat extra class should gv to a 4 yrs old child???

Hello to all mummies,

My girl is 4yrs old. I'm currently gving her Piano class. Thinking what are the other classes i can give her. Please advise...:001_302:

me prefer class for fun and can train her confident and independent. Me hv try bring her to gym class for trial and she like it but no time slot i can fix in. some ppl tell me nt so good for her to go gym so young. will affect their bones growing.

What does she likes? Like my monster, he likes drawing, I plan to let him go for art lesson, for leisure and to learn if he has the interest. He goes for swimming which he enjoy but I started him coz as he may need it when he is serving his NS. When he was young, he went for music n movement class, speech n drama class. Both he enjoys but i dun hahaha~ coz of the class location (too far out with no shopping or eatery for me to pass time while he is at class).

Gym class is good. and i dun think class for 4yrs old will be so tough n difficult as to affect their bones growing or whatever.

She like music, dance and piano. So when she 3yrs old i send her to Yahama which is at clementi and i stay Bt Panjang. then after completed the music class i change her to Cristofori for piano class (near to my place). She love swimming too and i'm teaching her but nw pregy so i din go with her often.

Some of my kaisu friens will ask me gv her phonic class or other academic class. me thinking izziti too stress for her. The gym class is at Jurong safari n my husband need wrk on weekend so all the extra class response fall on me. so me prefer to hv classes near my place.

if the place gt no shopping or eatery for me to pass time, i think i also dun wan. so far i always need to join the class one. cos she onli 4 still young to take full instruction.

I dont send my monster to academic enrichment class coz I feel that at his age he shld enjoy. And also I think his child care centre is doing a good job on teaching him things. He is even learning Chinese calligraphy, abacus, Montessori, computer, speech & drama in school. May not be very in depth teaching but he is being exposed to those, quite ok for me. Best of all, I dun need to pay any extra money for these lessons :001_302:

Wow.. Ur child care centre so good. When my girl 3 I put her in child care but hv a bad experience. Nw she very happy with PCF. Think abacus is really good for kids.

ya, I am very happy with this child care centre, school fees not that expensive too. I guess the teachers plays a major part in the schools so even if its under the same brand but different branches, the experience may be totally different.

Yes, I agree teacher is the main roles. My girl dun like the child care teacher cos all so fierce n using scolding. She change to PCF, the teachers is so soft-spoken n genlt. She love it lor.

Hello, Sorry for late reply. I missed this msg. I gt tot of ballet class but my girl tell me, "mummy, you go dance and i see la" me wan faint liao. Swimming, i'm teaching her the basic, think when older than send her for class. B'cos she very fair, i dun really wan her skin tone change. hehe...

lol .. so u dance ballet at home for her and see if she like not , den ask her go learn and dance for u to see back haha

swimming class usually at evening and once a wk oni , wont get darken so easily ,my cousin learn fm very young age too and till now she's still very fair ..

ur girl like learning things? maybe piano lesson is enuff?

Haha.. ask me dance is hard. Afraid she more dun wan ballet. lols...

Me bring her to swim at nite abt 8pm cos i after wrk reach hme also 7pm liao. Weekend quite crowed so i dun go on weekday. She love to play with water, think later she more stable i will let her go learn. cos i think is a must skill to learn.

I nt too sure she like learning or not but so far i feel she go sch n piano class she learn more things. And when she go sch or piano class she very happy one, jus like going shopping. When came hme, she also will tell you n sing for you wat she learn in class.

maybe piano is enuff for her alrdy , let her focus on it and when she get older she will know wat else she likes den u send her to class den =)

Ya lor.. Me also agree. Jus bring her to piano class is like me also learning cos hv to practise with her at hme n keep refresh her. thanks!!

ya , piano class is enuff alrdy .. when my kids are 4 , i didnt even give them any class haha .. they only enjoy playing everyday

yes.. yes.. i agree!!

My girl is lack of confidence n timid so my collea advise me let her go learn some music or speech of drama to stronger her confidence level. if not i will nt let her go learn, lucky she like it and she really become more confidence when she on stage n in front of strangers.
