I think tutor's background is very important. Reconsider if the place has a lot of undergraduate tutor. Maybe you can look tuition centres that also have innovative way of learning, since government seems to put a lot of focus on innovation haha...

tI think what's important is whether the tutors are qualified and passionate about teaching the students.

My oldest girl used to be tutored by an undergraduate tutor, and although the rates are cheaper than full-time tutors, the tutor always postpones lessons when during her exam period in the uni, even if it sometimes clashes with my girl's exam period.

I then hired another full-time female tutor, who was a graduate and quit her office job so that she could teach full-time. She scored very well for her recent exams and she was so happy. Nowadays the teachers in school are so focused on completing their 'syllabus' that they don't have enough time to build a teacher-student bond with their students, I guess that explains why many of the students dread going to school. Haiya. But this tutor, is like a friend to my girl. So sometimes i have to ask the tutor to communicate with my girl on certain stuff, teenage girl these days, I just don't understand why they don't like to talk to us.

So anyway, she has been giving group tuition at her own place in Tampines, but she has recently opened her own Tuition Centre @ Tampines (near TPJC) to cater to her growing class of students, and also to take in more students. She also provides her own notes and she told me her class size is about 5-8. Luckily for me, nearer to my place. anyway, She's a graduate from NUS law, so she teaches English, whereas her partner is a graduate from Engineering (Or Science, also cannot really remember) specialises in teaching Math and Science. Both of them have more than 10 years of experience and their school has full-time tutors and current tutors to specialise in Sec and JC subjects, so I'm going to enrol my girl there for their June intensive programme for math o levels. I'm not trying to promote her but I think it'll be great to share some thoughts on making motherhood a little easier for us right!

My niece is attending classes at All-Ace All-Ace Tuition :Galaxy of Knowledge. My niece has improved alot under their guidance, heard from my sis from 50+ to 80% for this SA2.

They are located in the east area. Heard that their tutors are well-known tutors and their programs were featured in various papers.

The teachers are very motivating and creative. It works well for my niece hope it works well for you too
