I am an undergraduate from NUS, Faculty of Science pursuing a major in Mathematics. I have conducted 1-to-1 home tuition for the past 3 years for primary, secondary and JC level.
I have scored A level score of AAB/A for H2 mathematics, Geography, chemistry and H1 literature respectively. I am highly specialised in chinese compo writing and oral, with no less than A grade for my overall chinese subject throughout my education.
With the experience and academic results, i would like to open a group tuition for primary and secondary level only. This is because solving of JC questions might require more depth and focus that may not be suitable for group larger than 2.
I teach all subjects that is within school syllabus except the following:
POA
JC and Sec Biology
Malay
Tamil
Foreign languages
China studies

Lower primary (Pri 1-3)

3 students $16/hr per student
4 students $14/hr per student
Upper Primary (Pri 5 & 6)
2 students $20/hr per student

2 students $23.50/hr per student

Just to share my experience with parents, after 3 years of teaching as a private tutor as well as my own studying habits, students do not absorb 100% of the information they have learnt in class and assignments. This is due to the distractions present in the big classroom teaching where some students picked up facts that others have missed out. Thus, small group teaching helps them to circulate information picked up in class, discussions and asking of questions gives them a more complete understanding.
