yes, red dates helps. i think because it is consider liquid, and during confinement chinese believe we cannot drink too much plain water. so we keep drinking red date tea. if dont want to be too heaty, avoid putting dried longan

Red dates is heaty if the seeds are used. If not u can buy pitted dates but tea won't be so sweet. I refer the usual dates. My Tcm dr says don't use pitted ones. He says to crush the dates before boiling. My cf lady uses scissors to cut the flesh. My baby is two months old I still drink red dates tea almost every day. Love it.
