I'm using Kodomo baby moisturising bath. No need to rinse off with water after that. For nappy rash cream, I'm using Desitin. So far so good...:)

Soap i use mustela, shampoo i use sebamed and for nappy i use mustela also. I find musela shampoo is too harsh on my baby's hair.

desitin for nappy rash is good since it is like waterproof. but my bb dont have nappy rash so i change to pureen nappy cream instead.

for bath, i like those top to toe wash , using one type and wash whole body. i use pureen because smell really nice

Thanks all for sharing. :)

I will note down all the brands and start shopping soon. So most of the baby bath dont need to rinse off right?

I attended baby class and they recommend Avent barrier cream. Baby using Avent barrier cream since birth and I like it because it is light and easily absorbed, like moisturiser. Day use Avent, night use Desitin cos baby sleeps through the night.

Desitin very good for nappy rash, good to have one standby. Qoo10 has the best price.

Bath using Avent bath. 2 drops in one tub of water will suffice. No need rinse. Johnson also not bad. Pigeon I find so so.
Btw, baby don't really need a separate shampoo. The bath water use to wash head can already. Don't apply directly to baby scalp cos may be too strong.

Hope this helps!

I use Avent bath. It's suitable for both hair & body. Troublesome to use separate soap & shampoo hehe.

Nappy rash cream - Avent bottom balm for prevention. I put it on baby everytime after she bathes. Desitin only when rashes come out; It's really effective! Rashes cleared in less than 2 days. That's also why I'm wary that it might be too strong to use on a daily basis.

My pediatrician said to avoid using Johnson & Johnson products. Said not good for young babies.

Now Baby Market ongoing, Avent got booth so go check out! I hope got discount, I wanna stock up liao. The thing about Avent is not readily available in all supermarkets. I always wait for fair to stock up. If urgent, Kiddy Palace also got sell.

Desitin I buy from Qoo10. $10.50 for 4oz tube as oppose to $12+ for 2oz tube if buy from supermarket. Get blue one will be good enough.

The Avent bottom balm is not used for every nappy change? I clean baby bottom with warm water, then apply bottom balm after each nappy change.

Agree about Desitin, somehow I have a feeling like the skin cannot breath with it apply on so thick so I only use at night. I tried Avent for night, not good enough as baby can sleep for 7hrs before waking for night feed.

My Edd in jan'13. Too early to stock up now :(

I guess: my choice ----

1. Avent body n hair wash - no need rinse. Just drop 2-3 drops in baby bath tub. Correct?

2. Avent nappy cream: day use..

3. Desitin blue nappy cream: night use or if rash comes out.

Correct? Anyone using pureen nappy cream?

Sounds good! I tried pureen before, personally I don't like as it feels thick and is difficult to spread on the skin. My friend using it fine though.

Hi Fatty Fat Fat

Where did you get the sterile cotton balls? What brand and how much is it per packet? Thanks!! :)

Sterile cotton can get from pharmacy. In fact another useful item is the non-woven swabs also sterile. It's square in shape. Picks up dirt and dry skin on bb very effectively when wet. I don't use wet wipes due to concerns of the chemical.

Oops can't recall how much but quite cheap, few dollars? Think hubby got from Unity. Any pharmacy, Guardian, Unity should have as long as they got sell stuff for first aid.
