I guess it also helps not to worry too much, stay positive and talk to baby often. Let nature do its wonders. :) Even if going on fours doesn't help turn your baby, it will reduce the stress on your back. Why don't you give it a try?

Hi, On 2 March, my gynae is going to check if I have started dilating (when the cervix opens) and effacing (when the cervix thins). She said it will hurt a bit. Can anyone share what this check entails? Any way of reducing the discomfort/pain experienced at such a check?

Heh heh, thanks! I tried massaging tummy in clockwise motion, going on fours for about 10 mins a day, and talking to baby. Glad it works. :)
