    Breastfeeding while working

No lah, I think what the doc was saying is BM straight from the tap is always best. Chilled EBM loses some antibodies, and frozen and thawed EBM loses somemore. But even frozen and thawed EBM contains more antibodies than FM, which has none. So I guess when baby is sick, if possible to latch...

    Breastfeeding while working

Hmm I take issue with that - frozen milk is not expired. When I was away from my baby for 2-3 weeks, she had nothing but thawed EBM - it's a matter of what works best at the moment. My baby does not latch, so I give her the next best, which is EBM. When I have to be away from her and the...

    Breastfeeding while working

My baby is 5 months old next week and takes 120-130ml each feed, 6-9x a day (usually 7 or 8). She doesn't latch at all because of some reflux issues when she was 4 weeks and now she doesn't like my breast. I pump 7x a day by hand (i.e., I don't use a pump - I use manual expression) and make...

Has anyone tried Babyplus Prenatal Education System before ?

I tried and used baby plus very diligently from 18 weeks to birth at 41 weeks. No hearing loss experienced by my child. :)

    Please share your birth story

Hello mummies, this is my birth story. Delivered my little girl at Mt Alvernia on 24 August via assisted natural birth with no epidural, no pethidine and only some gas (mainly for the vaginal examinations and the last part when I was assisted in giving birth). 23 August: Morning to noon: Had...

    Dr HK Ho package

Hmm...no, package is not $800. It is $1000 after 20 weeks (so first visit is probably at 24 weeks) and does NOT include any vitamins. What it includes are 1) scheduled consultations 2) scans at each consultation including the third trimester scan and 3) urine test. It also doesn't include the...

    EDD: August 2012

Oh it's a secret group so it won't appear if you search for it - it's for all mothers who are due in August, although some have already delivered. I don't really know how to add people...you have to add hushhush as a friend - maybe see the last few pages and see how to do it?

Thank you for this - I intend to go without epidural if things go well and was wondering about stitching if there is a tear / episiotomy as well!

Yes, I managed to get the package already (so expensive!). :) Agree that Dr Ho is very experienced and has a marvellous pair of steady and gentle hands.

Dr HK Ho of Mount Alvernia

I am using Dr Ho now. He's professional, has excellent bedside manners and steady hands. However, I do believe his charges are on the steep side. Package is after 20 weeks at $1000 before GST. I do not know how much attendance fees are but I hear they are in the region of $300 each time...
