Congrats to everyone who has giving birth! Yes, our 2-3 hour marathon has started. Sigh.
I managed to poop 4 times since delivery 6 days ago. Stopped my pain medication too cos don't like to take too much medications. Keep taking the stool softener and sit at the toilet and take your time.
I...
Congrats Yanting and kcws!! I've been missing in action past few days as the iPhone app kept kicking me out and I didn't have access to a laptop.
How is everyone so far? I'm struggling with my confinement nanny. She wants to always bottle feed baby so can sleep longer and keeps saying my milk...
Don't stress! If I could epidural I might have gone for it. I was trying to delay my c-sect decision as long as possible and in the end, no need to decide.
But my second and third kid I'm gonna c-sect lah! LoL.
Honestly, as long baby and ou are happy, doesn't matter.
The other Sept...
Hi all! I finally gave birth at midnight of the 4th Sept. Natural without epidural as I've bad back.
Baby boy! He is only 2.5kg and 50cm long at 37 weeks and 2 days. It's still weird to see baby and realise I'm no longer pregnant. Up at 4am cos after delivery, had to stay in the delivery ward...
Yah, cos I figured need energy plus only 3cm dilated, might have long wait. I'm still waiting for a delivery room! Now still at the monitoring area. Hubby cannot enter so I'm alone with my dying phone.
Mummies, bring extra phone batteries. I'm whatsapping hubby and gfs in between...
Seems like today is the day! I'm 3cm dilated with contractions every 5 min. After doctor checked for dilation, i went to pee and wanted to eat cos super hungry. But i started bleeding in the toilet. Think it's from the internal check. So back to the bed.
Hope all goes fast and smooth. Update...
EEKS! I'm at the hospital now being monitored. Had contractions from 4am and it started being more regular at every 5 min.
I cannot decide if I should pray that this is the real thing or false alarm. Cos it really hurts. Cannot imagine another few weeks of this. But at the same time, like not...
Ladies, may i know how the gynae checked for dilation? Was it an internal examination? Did it hurt? And did anyone's gynae do a membrane sweep to speed things up?
Oooh! I'm a little scared cos I rarely get cramps during my period. I only get the bruised feeling and lower backache. Eeks! So I don't really know what to expect.
StellaC: Gosh. I can imagine how stressful it was. Hopefully you get some rest tonight.
Hearing all the mummies approaching their EDD is so exciting! Mine is only on the 22nd and I'm still not feeling anything. Just had loads of pressure down below today but when I sit, it's ok. Seeing my...
I'm talking to baby to stay in as long as possible! Though it gets tiring and tougher to sleep, I really enjoy being pregnant and feeling baby moving inside! It's just me and baby now and so calm. Hahahah!
Plus, my brother is getting married next weekend so I want to be able to attend his...
kcws and Sunbeams: I've a slipped disc and scoliosis so cannot use epidural at all according to anesthetist. My only form of pain relief is via IV drip self controlled anesthesia which my gynae says can be hard to time cos have to press the button myself when contractions come. If too early or...
I've put on 19kg and I'm 35 weeks 5 days. Gynae didn't ask me to cut down on carbs. Only less salt and sugar cos she suggests mine is water retention. I wasn't tested for gestational diabetes too as she felt I'm ok. Thank God!
Oooh! Maybe talk to your gynae and see what are the risks involved if any. I'll be doing my GBS test next Tues as i might be trying for natural birth instead of scheduled c-sect. Crossing my fingers!!
