2009 TMC Hospital Bills

Hi Mummies,

I really need advice. Any mummies recently deliver in TMC this year (4 beded)?? I need to know how's d bills lyk so dat I can prepare myself as I'm due this June. Heard dat a deposit is needed for the hospital. Soooo afraid that it'll go beyond my budget. Mummies puhleeeease advice.

Just deliver at TMC 1 Bedded.

4 Bedded : Deposit is SGD$800
1 Bedded : Deposit is SGD$1200

Or you may opt to check with your own Gynae for delivery packages
between natural or c-section as they bore different rate.
I certainly believe that they shall be able to advice you the most nearest charges.

In TMC, there is a member card to appy called First Born Incentive = FBI
A Maternity Savings Program but you need to pay a fee to sign up.
There are certain discount on hospital bill, fetal assessment, retail pharmacy & their parentcraft svcs etc.
And morever they are giving a freebies bag & some accessories that you may check with their counter
at 1st level after the flower shop in TMC.
Importantly, there are certain discount on hospital bill.

I just got the rates (EXCLUDE SPECIALIST /DOCTOR FEE) from the hospital tour.. My house don't have scanner so cannot scan only can type out..
was told doc fee is ard 150-200 / visit..

Deposit required (medisave patient):
1 Bedded : $1200
2 Bedded : $1000
4 Bedded : $800

Room Rates
1 Bedded : $430
2 Bedded : $248
4 Bedded : $195

Vaginal Deliveries
1) Normal Deliveries 2days stay
- 1 Bedded : $2088
- 2 Bedded : $1408
- 4 Bedded : $1268

2) Normal Delivery with epidural (2days stay)
- 1 Bedded : $2318
- 2 Bedded : $1638
- 4 Bedded : $1572

Caesarean Deliveries (LSCS)
1) LSCS-GA (3days stay)
- 1 Bedded : $3283
- 2 Bedded : $2399
- 4 Bedded : $2158

2) LSCS - Epidural (3days stay)
- 1 bedded : $3183
- 2 bedded : $2299
- 4 bedded : $2058

gynae pkg - birth @TMC/4-bedded (gynae says will upgrade me to 2-bedded *cross fingers*)
dunno whether to upgrade to 1-bedded from 4-bedded cuz quite a big difference to top up + d monies can be saved to use for baby's expenses..on d other hand if 1-bedded at least my baby can be wz me throughout + no restriction to # of visitors at anytime..

I've the same problem with you. hopping to stay in 1bedded but heard tt the difference to pay in cash is quite big. I think since your gynae said will upgrade you to 2bedded i think it's okay.

Of course, 1bedded is definitely better cos got privacy and your hubby can stay with you. Unless you will be expecting lotsa visitors during that 3d2n stay if not i think 2bedded is v good alrdy esp when your gynae said you might hav 50% chances for c-sect... wat if really c-sect (choy!!!) then nd another sum of money.

My advice is, unless you have prepared plenty of cash if not dun take the risk. haha...

about TMC bill... yest went for 31st week check up. after finished check up went to ask abt the maternity package to have a clear understanding about it. they will charge 2 maternity package (if u opt for natural delivery, but end up c-sect) for doc's fee, u got to ask ur gynae about it. SOme gynae charge 2 time for natural & c-sect, some only charge the one u delivered under.

U need to prepare @ least $3-4k incase end up c-sect (touch wood).

d cash top-up frm 4-bedded to single is really a huge gap & not really worth it..better to settle for 2-bedded

hmm my gynae only told me that i can decide to have last min c-sect on delivery date if i really cant natural birth..hopefully will rmbr to ask him (either next visit or on labour day..whichever comes 1st haha)

I just gave birth last mth at TMC 4 bedded one day stay, normal vaginal delivery. I paid 1k for myself and $258 in cash for baby's charge.

If you look at the previous old threads for the past years, the cost is cheaper and some even got refunded. So advise to mummies do spare extra cash.. the normal vaginal delivery already cost that much, God knows how much extra cash if yours happen to be Csect etc!

Means u paid 1k for urself, and 800 for deposit, + $258 for bb?

the 1k is for the doc's delivery fee issit?
so apart from the normal $800 deposit, u just need to fork out an extra $258 (After medisave deduction) ? U stayed for just one day? I thought the basic pkge they have is 2D1N?

then after deducting the deposit you still need to fork out 1258?

No dear, $800 deposit inclusive of the cash that i paid. for just normal vaginal delivery.

A bit confuse I tot mine will be cheaper cos i stay for jus one day, altho the basic pkage 2days stay.. but maybe they charge the room rate per day.. the longr u stay the higher the fees :)

juz went for checkup yday,gynae says 3d2n pkg aft medisave,cash top up ard 600 (if need epi another 600+,if still cant & end up c-sect another 1k so total ard 2-3k)
this fri gg back again,think might end up induce if my darling little one still doesnt want to come out
anw will try to post my charges soon aft delivery :wespinny:

Just delivered at TMC 1bedded Feb 2009 by c-section.
Pay around 2.8k cash after deduction for mother & baby.

I have the maternity & baby packages rates for TMC 2009 for 1bedded & 4bedded.
If anyone required, pls pm me your email address.
